Changed design.

I have three other Capilene Cool Trail Tanks from Patagonia that I’ve bought over the last few years, all in size S. The black one began to fade some and I lost a few pounds so I bought a size XS. I tried it on as soon as it was delivered. This XS is bigger than my three S tanks! It’s wider and not as flattering. It’s also not completely black. I found out that Patagonia changed the design. I plan on returning to a store soon because I don’t want to be charged to ship it back to REI.

Thin, runs big, see through, not worth $40

Really disappointed in this shirt. I expected a lot better fabric quality for the price. It is see through, and something is less refined about the fabric so you can see the little fibers sticking out (like shiny glitter all over it). Never seen a shirt like that. The actual stitching is close knit, so it may hold up but it is very thin. The cut at the neck is nice, but it does run large. I plan to use for workouts & runs, so I guess the thin see through fabric isn’t as big of a deal since it will dry quickly and be breathable. I don’t think I’d ever wear this hiking/with a backpack. Not sure how it’s supposed to be a “trail” shirt? The arm holes are also generously cut that whatever bra you are wearing will be exposed. This is not worth $40.

Runs Small - not a bit loose like in the picture

I”m surprised some of the reviews say it runs large. According to the size chart, I should be a S, but it was more snug in the stomach/hip area and not slightly loose like the pictures suggest. Maybe it’s designed more for very slim/straight figures, not curvy gals. Unfortunately I feel like most of the outdoor clothing is designed for women with slimmer/straight figures and not any curves. I will try to size up to a medium and see if it gives me the slightly looser feel I was going for. For reference - I’m 5’4”, 140 pounds, and hour glass shape (curvy hip/butt and 32DD)
