Perfect Hiking Sun Hoody
I bought this hoody about two months ago and love the color, material, and style. I have worn it few times on long day hikes in the winter/spring. I am 5’9, 130 lbs and a M fits me well. I have broad shoulders and an athletic frame.
Lightweight for tropical climate!
I wear Patagonia Cool Daily crewneck long sleeve and short sleevra on a daily basis. For my tropical and humid climate, these are perfect and super reliable. I decided to try this "Cool Ultra Hoody." My traditional Capilene size: Small. Out of the package: lightweight. The try on: runs slightly small, slim fit, close to the body. If you lift your hands above head.. the fabric cinches up and across/above the chest area. You have to pull it back down to not see it. Willing to work w/this since it's hitting my wish list, so far. Will be perfect for layering, if needed. Hood fits great, close to the head w/o obstructing the eyes. The button adds extra security while using hood or without hood to keep your neck covered. Sleeves: sits at wrist then not using thumb holes. Length: sits a thighs. Patagonia logo tag (at bottom left front) sadly I'm not a fan. It's so small. I love the old school style which isn't big but really represents the Patagonia brand. Overall size: I considered sizing up to M but will keep S. Otherwise will be too long in length and sleeve.
