ASICS Novablast 5 TR Road-Running Shoes - Men's
Looking for softer landings and peppy toe-offs for your training? These ASICS shoes have a geometry specially designed to give you an energized ride. FF BLAST™ MAX foam offers plenty of cushion.
Key Details
- Breathable engineered mesh uppers; the lightweight, breathable mesh material helps reduce the need for additional overlays
- Tongue wing construction in the uppers helps improve the fit while reducing tongue movement
- FF BLAST™ MAX cushioning, one of the most energetic midsole foams from ASICS, is complemented with cloud-like softness and a responsive energy return in each step
- Trampoline-inspired outsole pods—outsole and midsole design captures more energy return for an enhanced foam bouncing effect during toe-off
- Reflective details for enhanced visibility on nighttime and early-morning runs
- AHAR™ LO outsole rubber is a lower-density rubber placed in key areas of the outsoles for reliable grip and traction without sacrificing durability
- At least 50% of the shoe's main upper material is made with recycled materials to reduce waste and carbon emissions
- Sockliners are produced with a solution-dyeing process that reduces water usage by ~33% and carbon emissions by ~45% compared to the conventional dyeing technology
- Weight (half pair): 8.6 oz.

Disappointed
It was my first time purchasing a pair of Nova Blasts, and I’m disappointed with the durability of the shoe body. The mesh uppers are starting to tear after only 3 months of use (3-4 runs a week). I typically get at least half a year of running out of my running shoes and then more use out of them wearing the shoes around the house. Don’t expect this pair to last that long.
