No, I do not recommend this product
Not sure who the target customer is here compared to the old Simul Alpine Softshell Pant, but if you have anything remotely close to an athletic build, I'd skip these. Not a replacement for the iconic Simul Alpine Softshell Pant, these are made of a much thinner material and a tight cut. However, the material feels solid, and I like the belt system, but the fit is clearly designed for a very slim build, particularly through the lower leg. I'm normally a 34x32, and the length and waist fit well, but the calves are uncomfortably tight. I am sure they are great for someone who isn't me.
