Counter sales rep misordered shoe color
Ordered these Gray Ón hiking shoes at REI Clackamas 3d before end of 20% off coupon expired Also used my $10 reward. After order completed, counter sales rep had to delete order and begin again since delivery couldn’t be at the store but home delivery only. Porch pirates at home. Sent to Postal Annex. Picked up shoes and wore them on first non rainy day. Sales Rep ordered another color that I did not select, an unlovely purplish tone. By then it was too late to return them, and I am livid! My other two Ón Cloudhorizon Hikers are dark gray and I do love them. This review pertains only to this nonrefundable order error by the sales rep
Great for wide feet!
In general the On brand is a super great brand for anyone on their feet for long periods of time. I have wide feet and struggle with plantar fasciitis. Usually I have to buy wide shoes and use special insoles. Not with this brand. They work well out of the box. They are a bit stiff at first but will loosen up pretty quick. Hold up well after washes too. For winter hiking or backpacking, I recommend the waterproof ones but these are great for the summer or wet trail conditions.
