YETI  Daytrip 3 L Lunch Box

I work on a mobile trail work and painting crew in the summer. We carry most of our daily needs in a 50L pack. Bought this to keep my lunch cold. It does the trick but the box itself is massive, takes up more space that I can afford in my backpack. Also the space inside is smaller than desired once the ice pack is added. Really expensive. Probably wouldn’t buy this again for this use case.

Its perfect. Perfectly simple. Its durable, classy and insulates my lunch from getting warm. I'm a fishing guide. I row a drift boat in the high desert in Montana during the dog days of summer. I'm very happy and its so much better than my old lunch box cooler.

Very high quality. Holds several containers. Not too big for primary school.

I'm a little disappointed that the 3L Lunch Box does not keep my food as cold as I expected. I pack my lunch straight from the fridge and 3-4 hours later I'm ready to eat. The food certainly isn't warm but it's not cold either. It's slightly cool. I have to add an ice pack in order to keep everything cold and that leaves less room for food which borders on 'the wrong product for me' territory. I have a number of Yeti beverage consuming vessels and they meet/exceed my expectations. The 3L Lunch Box is rugged and looks great but "freshness for hours" may be misinterpreted by me, yes, the food is still fresh but, again, not as cool or cold as I expected.

Breakfast may be the most important meal of the day, but the promise of lunch is what keeps me slogging through a busy morning. Knowing that the lunch is resting in the climate controlled confines of my YETI lunch box gives me a hope that springs eternal. If you like lunch, you need this lunch box.

This spacious lunchbox reminds me of the metal square lunch boxes from the 80s. It comfortably fits my lunch and coffee tumbler without straining the zipper. The only downside is that the hand strap is an inconvenience. In my opinion, the long strap should be included in the cost of the lunchbox.

I love the 3L so far. I've used it for a few lunches, and four Bacardi Mojitos fit inside. I bought the small ice pack, which is really too small. In all cases, the medium worked generously, plenty of room. I have loved all my Yeti products.

This lunchbox is such high quality. Made so well. I thought it was going to be smaller than it actually is and I was worried. But its a good size and fits all of my son’s lunch perfectly. I’m glad I bought it.
