I wanted to LOVE it, but...
I love Kleen Kanteen products and I was super excited when I found out that they have this style of big tumbler with a stainless steel straw. The specs are great, look of it is nice, the all-metal design, silicone straw cover is great and beautiful twin color. I wanted to love all about this product, I really did but here is why I had to end up returning the product. And there is perhaps a reason why this product is being discontinued, according to REI's website. 1) Stainless steel straw - it touches the metal inside and keeps touching the wall. I makes a metal sound and am sure it will keep scratching. I am not fond of the sound and I don't like to admit that I am consuming metal. 2) The bottom of the tumbler arrived damaged. It had a dent, and even though it stands straight still I was so disappointed that it arrived imperfect. 3) Because of 2) I suspect that this product will be damaged very easily with regular use. The reviews I saw for this products in other websites were mostly positive and I just wanted to share some of my opinions.
My go-to tumbler
I love this tumbler. Easy to refill without having to take the lid off. Keeps beverage cold for a long time. I love the hook-shaped handle because I can put it into my small Hinza tote and it hooks on the side so it won’t tip over. I don’t mind the sharp edged handle, but I did put a snap-on leather strap cover on it and it’s even nicer for carrying around now.
Great for travel
This dishwasher safe cup is a good size and is convenient. It holds ice for a long time (overnight). Purchased as a gift.
all I want for a tumbler
metal straw but soft rubber for the upper part. why nobody else is doing this?
