Park Tool  CB-4 Bio ChainBrite Chain Cleaner

I use CB-4 Chainbrite to clean my chain and cassette regularly when trail riding. I wet a rag with CB-4 and back-pedaling while rotating the rag as it gets dirty and then wipe off the excess while back-pedaling with a dry rag. I also use a brush wetted with CB-4 to clean the cassette. The product works well for this purpose and removed old dry-lube along with dirt and grit. I get the best results cleaning the chain on my trail bike frequently - as often as 50 miles of trail riding. I have also used the Park Tool chain cleaning system with CB-4. It works very well to clean extremely dirty chains but it is messy and it uses a lot of cleaner in comparison to more frequent cleanings using the method above.

I used this on my used bike chain and it made it look like new. I poured some product on a microfiber towel and did 1 pass . This works like magic totally recommend.

This works. My only issue is the price point. No way is it worth the current price for a 16oz bottle. $10-$12 more like it, IMO. I’ve used many others and in some ways they all work the same. For that reason alone I’ll get something more affordable and does the same job of degreasing, if not better.

This stuff does a decent job of cleaning your bike chain. I use it with the chain cleaning tool that's also an essential investment. A clean and well lubricated bike chain is key to have a rideable bike, and one of the most important things to do.

I bought this a couple weeks ago. I chose it from among the others on the shelf because it said "biodegradable". All-in all, it degreases at a reasonable price,

I used 2 oz in the Park Tool chain cleaning tool to clean up to two bikes per refill and the 2nd bike still was cleaned of grease and debris. We cleaned 8 tandem cycles with one bottle of this cleaner.

Environmentaly safe did not worry about getting into my plants. Cleaned by chain well.
