Tom IN Denver
I purchased these right before the new ski season and finally took them out. Here's what I have determined:
1. These were painless to get on, just like a pair of snowboarding boots. I read the previous comment that the guy couldn't get them on and I have no idea why that would be the case. I pulled both wheels, pulled the tongue forward, stuck foot in, spun the wheels - my foot was in as snug as I wanted.
2. Once I placed the boot into the exoskeleton, it was not moving. There was no play between the boot and the exoskeleton. There was a tad between my foot and the boot only because I left it that way.
3. The weather at Keystone today was about 27 degrees F. I wore a rather thin sock, but my feet were relatively warm, would have been warner if I would have chosen to have worn a warmer sock.
4. At lunch I left the exoskeleton on the skis. I walked around like a champ, and my feet thanked me for it - far more comfortable than any ski boot I have ever worn.
Keep in mind that I have been skiing recreationally for about 11 years and consider myself to be advanced.

Hard boots are no longer my concern!
Always hated how my feet feels in a snow boot and finally I found this. Used these for 2 seasons now. Although I bought this when it was near full price, it was worth it. Walking around with the inner boots are super comfortable.

Could not get them on.
After loosening these boots as much as possible and repeated attempts to get my foot in, using all 225 lbs of me, there's no way to get into these boots. Also, when I shipped them back, the USPS lost one boot out of the well secured box and is an ongoing nightmare trying to get the USPS to make good on the $800.00 insurance I bought.

Best of all worlds, warmth, comfort & performance
I found out about the Apex boot just after I bought a pair of conventional boots last year and lamented the fact that I missed out on the newest thing in boots. I found a pair on sale this year and decided I needed them in my quiver because of an ankle injury I sustained playing hockey. The hard shell put enough pressure on the injured ankle to be really bothersome after skiing just a few runs, The Apex allows me to adjust the pressure just right so I have a very snug feel without the pain on my ankle. The Apex boot is ridiculously comfortable and independent adjustments for the soft boot (BOA) and the buckles on the hardshell for flex are ingenious. This boot is warm and comfortable all day long. Performance is fine, but it would probably not be stiff enough for a bona fide racer. But for those of us whose egos are bigger than our skis, these boots make a day on the hill a very comfortable and warm experience. If you are a skier who has ever been slightly envious of those comfortable snowboard boots, be envious no more, your day and your boot has arrived!
