Small is as small does
I am comfortable with the size. I have been using this and the predecessor for over a year, mainly as convenient clip-points for 10m, 15mm webbing handlines that can be deployed quickly. I've actually rapped on this carabiner (video). I've already given a few up to the mountain scrub-brush gods. The gate opens wide and quickly. Buy it for your needs. It's small, but strong and convenient.

Too small! but light
This biner is way too small for anything, except being a keychain. As a racking biner, I have to fumble with it a bit to get it off my sling. It just fits a rope through the gate, and is pretty hard to use with gloves on if you're alpine climbing. I keep one as my autoblock for rappels on my harness... I might keep a couple as bail biners because they're so light. But you know what? the camp nano 22 does everything this thing can do, and is much easier to use. So I'd get that one.

Tiny but Mighty

I have been looking for these little things for a while now. They are incredibly strong for their size. I bought an ascender (SAKA) that came with a couple of these. I wanted some for hanging a hammock, and REI had them in stock in several different colors.

Yes, it's for climbing.

Too many reviews doubt this carabiner. It is absolutely safe for climbing and I use them on a regular basis. They are small, light, brightly colored, but that doesn't detract from their strength (22kn/7kn). In fact, those four reasons are precisely why I bought them. They are easy to clip, even if with larger ropes like a 9.8. I've whipped on them before and never had an issue and never once doubted them.

Full strength but too small for climbing

I can see why people would like these for other activities but I find them unhelpful for many climbing purposes. They’re just too small to work well in my hand; awkward to open, gate doesn’t open enough for rope work, etc. I’m not sure I’d even use them to rack cams or anything where I’d have to be able to clip and unclip them in a hurry. I suppose someone could use them on the boot side of an alpine draw or something, and they’d make excellent little light weight carabiners for a backpacking hammock setup or something! Otherwise I’ll probably just use them to attach my chalk bag to my harness or carry keys around, which is kind of silly seeing as they are actually rated for climbing.

Too small for climbing.

I recently got a few friend cams and decided to try these small, lightweight carabiners for racking them. The weight savings is really tempting, they're full strength, and they're great any time you don't have to clip them on lead. They might also work for racking C4s, but after one or two attempts maneuvering these through the extendable sling on the friends I realized they're the last thing I want to deal with when I'm desperate to get the gear clipped and keep moving. With my thumb holding the gate open, there was barely space between the end of my thumb and the nose of the carabiner. So, two stars for climbing, five stars for most other uses.

I Would Definitely Buy These Again!

I used these to secure the ends of my Kelty Noah 12 tarp during a 3 night Piedmont Earthskills Gathering in Pittsboro, NC last month. The temperatures dropped to just above freezing 2 of the three nights I was there. The last night of the event temperatures dropped to about 34 degrees; winds blew constantly at 15 mph with sporadic 20 mph gusts; sleet came down after about midnight. With these carabiners securing my tarp ends I was not afraid of the tarp breaking loose. The FS Mini II carabiners are also small enough to easily fit into my snakeskin hammock storage bag.

Tiny and mighty

These carabiners weigh nothing but have phenomenal strength and flawless performance in my (men's size L-XL) hands. When your rack has 10-20 pieces that need non-lockers, you really start to feel the weight reduction. I bought a couple variety color packs and then the colors I lacked individually. The only downside is that they have stayed so brightly colored my friends make fun of me for not using my gear enough (meanwhile the same-aged cams they are attached to look like they've seen a few seasons).

Small climbing biner

Like all Metolius climbing gear, this is great quality. Strong, light, inexpensive. I use it as a super light and small way to back up my rappel with a hitch attached to the leg loop of my harness. Great for: Haul bags Bailing from a route and going home with your draws Holding gear Hammocks Clothes drying at the campsite Training (clipping misc equipment) Building an impromptu awning from tarps Being awesomer than the outdoor guy on TV Backing up your rappel with a hitch on the leg loop Looking like a climber when you get your keys out Terrible for: Quickdraws/rope clipping (small opening) PAS (doesn't lock) Anything that requires gloves (again... it's small) Pro tip: rub it on some concrete and drag some coarse rope through it a few times before you clip your shoes to your gym bag. That way, the college kid behind the counter knows you climb on real rock.
