Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Shell Pants My bf wanted to buy these pants but waited until there was a sale. Well he missed the Patagonia sale and was super bummed. BUT we found these pants at an REI Garage sale for $85 after New Years. It was used once and returned to the store because REASON: "They weren't warm enough." LOL FYI we laughed so hard at the tag. These are Non-insulated/Shell pants. Meaning you need to wear thermals under these to keep warm. These are best for those warmer snow days or for those who want better mobility when skiing/snowboarding (worn with thermals). Boyfriend used these pants and they're great. Great length, fit, breathable, and quality fabric. He snowboarded through an area through branches and the pants held up. Not a single scratch or tear. Simply amazing! Plus, it's Patagonia. Anything can be repaired for free. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants made with the upmost quality. Glad I bought these pants. They're very comfy, not too baggy or too tight. They're listed as light pants but they're actually quite warm with an inner layer. The zippers are all well made and the vents kept me cool. Wore them in Mammoth during a snow storm and never did they get damp or wet. The ankles have an adjustable clip instead of a metal hook to lace into your boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great snow pant shell! I was very happy with the quality of the snow pants. The powder skirt on the boots was pretty tight and kept snow right out. I used these pants on a recent snow shoeing trip and I was surprised at the flexibility they offered.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect Love the style and features, but fit could be a bit better. PROS: Seem really durable and are very warm for shells. Clean cut and style. Love having RECCO. CONS: Pockets seem like an afterthought. The design of the pockets plus the tighter fit means that anything in the pockets is felt on the thighs. I have a very thin wallet and a chapstick tube I carry when skiiing/boarding, and sometimes, when the going gets rough, the pitches are steep and each turn needs my focus, all of a sudden, I can really, REALLY feel that little tube of chapstick nestled against my thigh. Or my wallet. Or both. It is distracting. A little more space/slack built into the pocket area might help. Or maybe my quads are just TOO HUGE? (just kidding). The other con is that the elastic waist adjustment could use a little more design/effort so it worked more like a belt on the inside. I like my pants to sit up on my hips, and when these sink below my hips, they get a little "catchy" on my aforementioned (and overly sensitive) thighs. Overall, I dig these shells and have just resorted to putting my wallet and chapstick in my jacket pockets. And I wear a belt to keep these puppies up high and tight on my hips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just for men Not a lot of inventory when I went shopping for new snow pants, especially in the womens department. I was looking for a decent snow pant that didn't sit on my hips and invite the powder in when I crashed on a jump. Didn't appear these existed in a womens pant, at least not with the inventory available. This mens pant was perfect. Not unflattering, but functional. Decent pockets, nice leg vents, fit over my snowboard boots and a good weight, not too heavy but not too light. I'm really happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth The Money Unfortunately these pants do not offer an insulation. However, they are very well made! I have used the pants for activities ranging from walking the dogs in a storm to snowboarding and snowshoeing in sub zero temperatures. The pants are well designed, move well, breath well, and pack small. the fleece lined pockets are a great touch! I wish they made these for women! The RECCO locator is great addition!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Snow Pants Good, solid, snow pants. Kept the snow out of my ski boots and kept my rear-end dry. Could use some minor improvements. First, the fit is on the baggy side, so if you are looking for something with a more athletic fit, look elsewhere. Last, it could use more pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kept Warm Bought this for skiing. Went skiing last weekend in 4 degree weather. Was never cold, and had just a pair of long underwear underneath. Stayed dry, and had plenty of room to move. Would definitely buy any Patagonia product again.
