Maybe too easy to install

It installs really fast and that might be a problem. With the proper tools it would come off just as fast. Any really determined thief would probably just cut the cable in a few seconds anyway. That said, I love having one set of keys for getting the carrier locked to the car and the bikes locked to the carrier. I'm not worried about leaving the bikes locked in the parking lot while the family goes to eat lunch or what not.

Not what I expected.

The cable for the lock is way too short. It is only long enough to lock the frame to the rack. I have expensive tires and rims so this lock was useless to me. Sent it back the day after I go it.

Easy to install, easy to remove

I purchased the HandCuff to mount on a Yakima RidgeBack 2 rack. The Handcuff is easy to mount and just as easy to remove by anyone possessing the mounting tool, and therein lies the problem. I don't have high-end name-brand bikes so the HandCuff's value is probably in the appearance of security. No way would I trust this thing to actually safeguard any bike of value.

Convenient, but thin

The lock was very easy to install. The design seems adequate to prevent removal or disassembly of the lock from the bike rack. It is very easy to use. My only concern is the thin cable diameter. I think it would be easy to cut through. I will primarily use it as a quick convenience for a lunch, or where I have a view. I’ve already had 2 bikes stolen while watching a movie at the mall, so I’m leery. I will supplement this lock with a thicker cable if we’re away for an extended time.

Bike Rack Security

I recently got a Full Swing hitch mounted rack and I needed the cable lock to be able to secure the bikes for traveling. I ordered the correct cable for my rack. The delivery time for shipping was faster than the estimated delivery schedule.
