Yeti on North Shore of Oahu
Bought the Hopper 20 for my own birthday. One of the best gifts I've ever received! The cooler performed perfectly during a recent camping trip at Turtle Bay on the North Shore of Oahu. Easy to hike with and kept beers ice cold. Highly recommend the Hopper 20!
Really rough as nails
I have had this amazing cooler for about 4 months now. It stands up to its standards! It works very well with my yeti ice. I use this cooler for lunch at work and on weekends for those adventures that you may end up on. A must buy!
Harley Road Trip Buddy!
Yeti, I wanted to let you all know how great it was to finally have a cold drink at will on a Road Trip. WI this weekend was in the upper 80's and driving up north to the camper used to require at least several stops for cold drinks...Until we bought the Hopper 20 to add to the "Must take gear" on these rides. The perfect size to strap to the back of the bike, holds way more drinks than we would could use on a weekend run (not complaining here) and keeps them cold all day into the night without any problems. Many thanks, guys. From someone who appreciates "Over Engineering" over "Multiple Purchases" of lesser quality items. J
The perfect cooler for any activity
I bought my Hopper 20 right at the turn of the year and I couldn't be more satisfied. I also own the Hopper 40 but wanted something smaller and more portable for when I am on the go. The 20 is perfect for so many activities from backyard bbqs to beach days to paddle sports. No matter where I am I know my food and drinks will stay cold through the day and overnight. The accessories are great too like the molle zinger and sidekick, which make for extra space when you don't have pockets, or little tools to help when you're on the water. Even when fully loaded it's never too heavy, and super easy no matter what you're doing. Hands down best cooler I've ever owned.
What Are Your Expectations?
I went fishing for the week and packed 10 lbs of ice into a Yeti Hopper 30 and 10 lbs of ice into a Yeti Tundra 45 Cooler. The Hopper and Cooler were side by side in a drift boat. The temperatures were in the low 80's. After 2 days the ice in the Hopper was 80% water. The Tundra Cooler was 10% water. After 3 days the Hopper had no ice but the water was cold and the Tundra 45 cooler had 50% water/50% ice. The Yeti Hopper is easier to carry and appears to be Yeti tough. If you want a short term use cooler for two days or less, I recommend the Hopper. If you want a cooler that holds ice for more than 3 days, I recommend the Yeti Tundra Cooler. Both are easy to clean. The Yeti Hopper is easier to transport but the Yeti Tundra cooler out performs the Hopper cooler by far!
love this lil girl!!
Just received the 20qt Hopper last Sunday, I own a 65 tundra and a roadie already, so I prob would have never gotten a hopper if I didn't recive as a gift. But know that I own one, ill always have one. It being soft sided, its easy to carry, holds plenty of ice and beer, and alot easier to carry. I've filled with ice and drinks and carried with shoulder strap and is very comfortable, unlike other coolers ive carried that's that heavy. I was a lil nervous about it holding ice a long time being the top isn't thick insulated, but no worries, holds ice gor days. Now if they just hurry up and get colsters back in stock, ill be set!
Good lunch bag
I drive an 18-wheeler and was given the hopper 20 as a gift because my nickname is Yeti. I keep it on the floor next to me while I am driving for my cold snacks and drinks within reach. A lot of people complain about the zipper, which I too complained about at first. TO OVERCOME THE ZIPPER PROBLEM, PUSH THE ENDS TOGETHER. I really like my cooler now and kinda wish I had the bigger one. Now that I know how much it costs, it might be a little pricey for what I use it for. Get the hopper 40 for your trucker friends.
Perfect size and weight.
I am very pleased. I bought this about 20 days ago and have used it at least 10 of those. I also have a Tundra 75 but needed something more manageable for our kayaks and other activities where the Tundra would otherwise be too cumbersome. The Hopper 20 has been working great. A couple things that I have noticed: The zipper is not 100% air tight, under pressure and moderate condensation along the zipper after it spent the night on its side. Otherwise, it's a well thought out, great design. The cooler is very stable with it's wider base, and the heavy raft material, including all seams, seem bomb proof. I'll be putting a lot of miles on this one.
Yup - this makes me happy!!!
After reading reviews on this puppy, and as an old solo hiker who likes to have a cold after a long trek, here we go: Pre-chilled this puppy with some ice the day before, poured the water out next am and loaded her up with 6 IPA's 3 bottles of vino, and some sparking water. Placed her in a bear locker at 10k in the sun. Day, 1 got back and enjoyed a cold one. Day 2, the same. Day 3 with no ice remaining only cold water - the big test. I was stoked to enjoy a cold one. Now "bear" in mind she spent 3 days in a bear locker (hot) and could not be happier with product.
Great personal size cooler
The Hopper 20 really is big enough to handle 18 cans with a 10lb bag of ice. But I usually use Yeti ice and frozen water bottles instead of a bag of ice. Great for day trips, beach or pool, boat, and keeping in the car to have drinks and snacks. I load up what I need from the tundra 65 into the hopper 20. They complement each other really well and for weekend trips or longer I travel with both. I am happy with the size and will be using it as my carry on luggage for a fishing trip in Florida. Fits very discreetly on the passenger floorboard of my car.
