Specs

Best Use Paddleboarding
Dimensions 40.5 x 7.75 x 7.25 inches
Weight 13 lbs. 3.2 oz.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can't Legitimately hold 2 SUPs Over quality of this product is great. With one SUP it was very easy to tie down quickly. MAJOR FLAW YOU SHOULD CONSIDER! It can only hold 66 pounds. With most boards around 40 pounds you are over the limit. I called Yakima and they confirmed this weight limit. Other limitations are the locking features (there aren't any). If you have just 1 board or two really light boards this is a great product. Don't forget to measure the length of the strap with two boards and foam pads in between to make sure its long enough...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great for stacking 2 windsurfers I'd give this 4.5 stars if possible. Easily fit a pair of windsurfers, with foam noodles in between (see photo). Goes on car easy, loads easy and fast. Automatically adjusts to width of boards with sliding track on rail on strap. Only minor concerns are: 1. It looks like it will collect rain, so you can't really leave this on your car all the time. 2. Rubber strap pads are too short.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for one SUP or two small surf boards. 4 star rating due to the short tie-down straps. Great product for one SUP such as a Lakeshore or perhaps a couple of surfboards. Two thick SUPs with a little padding between and there is very little strap left. Luckily I only live a couple miles to a nearby lake. Any further and I would have to run a second strap over just to be safe....which defeats the purpose. I'll be exchanging for the wider SUPDawg.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use! I just bought this and used it yesterday. I mounted it on my racks that came with my Subaru and threw my board on for my adventure. They are easy to use and took me less than 10 minutes to secure my board on. The racks themselves are easy to remove form your car racks. I suggest taking them off when not in use because they are not locked on. Also, if rain is in the forecast, take them off because the water doesn't drain out of them. I wish I had these a year ago when I bought my board!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small car, wide bars. Works good for one SUP. There is very little strap left for 2 SUPs. I got stuck in a windy, blow out storm, and on the highway and it held up great. The only issue is it's impossible to get level using Jet stream Yakima bars. It will have a slight tilt no matter how you put them on. Tilt improved after I reinstalled them on the drivers' side. The SUP fits fine on it with the slight tilt, and not too high for me to lift up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Longboard rack Two longboards or one SUP so far. Solid build, quick and easy to set up and load / unload.

What stops someone with a 99 cent boxcutter from taking the boards?

Asked by: ben jammin
You will be able to cinch the cord tight enough to your board so there is no slack, which will make for difficulties if someone were to try to cut the cord. However, there are boat locks available from the Yakima for extra precaution.

I have a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the factor horizontal bars (front to back). Do I need an additional rack to go with this one to attached the SUP rack to or can I attach it right to the horizontal bars that are already there. I

You need to purchase aftermarket crossbars (spanning the width of the vehicle) for your 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee in order to mount the SUPPup Stand Up Paddle Board Rack. We recommend using Yakima's online fit guide to get the proper parts for your vehicle. http://www.yakima.com/fit/partner/?partnerId=9&location=http://www.rei.com/b/yakima

I have the suppup and have lost the rubber covers for the integrated tiedow straps. Is there a part code for new ones? I can't see any on the Yakima website.

Asked by: MTBRCanada
We recommend contacting Yakima directly to see if they have the covers for the straps that come with the SUPPup.

Is there some sort of locking mechanism to prevent thief from stealing it? Because the whole system(crossbars, tower, rack) costs $500, don't wanna worry about it while the car is parked outside at night.

Asked by: ERIK
There is no way to lock this rack to your vehicle.

Can you carry a board on a SUPPup next to a BigStack kayak rack on the same crossbars?

Asked by: Ropache
It is possible to carry an SUP on this board rack while transporting kayaks with the BigStack if you have the 70 inch JetStream or CoreBars from Yakima. If you have the classic round bars, a minimum 68 inch bar length is required.

Hi, will I have problems traveling from Omaha to California using this system with a 27lb board at 32" wide and is 10'6" long?

Asked by: Shelbell
You should not encounter any problems driving long distances at highway speeds if you have the SUP tied down appropriately.

I am buying a Yakima rack with either 58 or 66 inch bars. I have 4 soft top surf boards, 3 inches thick 9 feet long 25 inches wide. I want to carry all 4. Can I do it with 2 sets of sup pups or do I need 2 sup dawgs? Hauling boards from Texas to Florida.

Asked by: Harleyrci2000
Yakima does not recommend carrying boards side by side on your crossbars as that setup could cause a sail effect at highway speeds. There is no recommendation for transporting 4 surf or paddle boards on top of your vehicle.
