Features

  • Ideal for long-distance travel, compression socks help increase blood flow and decrease swelling when seated for long periods at a time
  • Gradient compression is greatest at the ankles and gradually decreases toward the tops of the socks; blood pushes upward toward your heart, maximizing circulation
  • Moderate (15 - 20 mmHg) compression is recommended for all-day and everyday wear, prolonged sitting or standing, travel, exercise and recovery, and minor to moderate swelling
  • Wool, nylon, bamboo and spandex blend together for fabric that fits snugly, wicks moisture, dries quickly and naturally resists odor
  • Seam-free toe closures minimize chafing; contoured heels offer a close fit
  • Knit spandex bands in arches provide support and reduce sock slippage on the foot

Great sock but wore out
Doromo

Love the sock, performs well, feels great, truly comes up-to-the-knee as expected, and very comfortable to wear all day on my feet whether its hiking or working. However, I bought these socks 6 months ago and have worn them a few dozen times and was very disappointed to see the area under the ball of the foot has worn out (see photo). Not what I expected from a $25 pair of socks, especially when most other types of socks wear much longer, and typically wear out in the toe and/or heel. Its a really good sock and I planned to buy more, but will see what info the mfg can provide before I do.

Great Merino Wool Blend Compression Socks

My orthopedic surgeon recommended compression socks post ankle surgery to minimize swelling and decided to check these socks out and so glad I did. Easy to get on and off compared to other compression socks I tried, wool blend is more comfortable than all synthetic compression socks, foot/ankle/leg stays warm all day and just the right amount of compression so assists circulation without being too tight. Wool helps to wick away moisture and keep my feet dry. I am purchasing additional pairs as these will be my 'go to' socks in the future!

Compression socks last just a while

I wear compression socks every day, and have bought several pairs of these as REI carries them - BUT these are not my favorites as they are skimpy in vertical (up-the-calf) length, the compression breaks down relatively quickly (in comparison to the multiple other brands of compression socks I own), and the knit wears right through on the sole. I am very careful to was these in cold water and air dry. I do not think that they are worth the money.

Did well enough

Bought these for running the AFC Half-marathon in San Diego. I've had historical issues with shin splints and other fun with the calves, so I figured any little bit helps. Fix was good, and I have big calves so I was surprised they were able to squeeze up over them. Not sure how they'd do for hiking. Might give them a whirl. Helpful gear though. Well worth having one or two pairs to alternate between when you need some support.

Good Support Hose

I use these support socks at work. Most support hosiery is uncomfortable to the point that most people who need them just will not wear them. These are much more comfortable. They have more padding and are a lot less confining to my feet. They are well made and last as well.

Great to have on when on your feet all day

I began needing compression socks last fall (2019) because of swollen ankles and slow healing bruises. I'm on my feet all day most days at work, as well as when I'm doing what I like to do. (Hiking) I was able to put these on quite easily after watching the video that was posted on one of the various Sockwell product pages. (on REI.com, of course) The M/L size was just right for me and the sock is well constructed. It works as intended.

Great compression sock

Great compression sock. Easier to get on and off than many, but still holds firm against your calf. Thick but doesn’t seem bulky. No hot spots or rubbing on foot nor toes. Bought a second pair!

Great Socks!

I injured my left leg weeks ago. Still had swelling and heavy bruising. MD recommended I travel with compression socks. Bought two pair of the Sockwell Men's Circulator Compression Socks. Incredible support, very comfortable. So comfortable I now wear them a couple times a week even when I am not traveling by air. Highly recommend.

My companion for traveling

These Sockwell compression socks are great travel companions. I travel internationally as a pilot (flights over 12 hours) and blood clots are an ongoing concern. To address this issue, I've been using these socks for about 5 years. They seem to compress without being too restrictive. With the wool material minimizing odors, this allows me to reuse the socks for the return flight without worrying about packing another pair or suffering from smelly socks. To maximize their life, I wash and air dry. Have bought around 7 pairs over the years and quality seems to be top rate!

Black compression socks.

These compression socks (15-20 mg) fit well and are comfortable. They help with my mild venous return leg problem. I wear a size xl for my size 12 feet. The socks are easy to hand wash with cold water and to hang dry on backyard close line. I recommend to buy two pairs. They should last apox one year.
