Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable This has been a great harness so far; it is easily adjustable to fit snugly but still be comfortable. A few weeks back I took it on a hiking/rappelling trip in southern UT and many of the rappels were close enough together that we just kept our gear on as we hiked between rappels. I wouldn't necessarily recommend hiking with a harness on, and yet I never even noticed it. The harness is good at distributing the load; even on slow or longer rappels I didn't feel any soreness or discomfort. To buy the harness, I went into the store and tried one on from every brand they had in stock, and this one won hands down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great first harness I had tried on a couple different harnesses, and my biggest complaint was that I never quite felt like they would center perfectly. With the bilateral waist double-backs, this harness seats even and balanced on my waist. Hanging from it while on the wall is comfortable, and no issues while belaying. I am 5'10", about 190 lbs, with a 33-34 inch waist; the size 1 works well for me. I have a feeling I will end up purchasing another harness as I become more and more proficient in climbing and learn more about my gear needs, but in the meantime, this harness has been excellent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Comfortable, best fit I bought this for gym climbing and so far I have no complaints whatsoever. I tried many on and I found this one to be the most comfortable. What really sold me was the double buckle for the waste. The other single buckle harnesses I tried never felt centered or something. I also really like how you tuck the tails into the elastic on the waste harness. I definitely recommend this over any other ones I tried on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Confortable harness! I got this harness last summer because it met the need of being comfortable and centered. I've used the harness a couple dozen times indoors and outside, both TR and lead climbing. I'm always very comfortable belaying or climbing - I don't take it off until I'm done for the day. My only issue is the back gear loops don't stand up enough to easily place equipment on my belt while cleaning a route - feel like I have to find the loop first and then make sure the 'biner is clipping it. If you don't need the back loops, it's an easy 5 star rating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfy Bought this harness after trying my friends. I've had it for about a month and had two full days of climbing in it so far. Both days were spent doing mostly single pitch sport routes. The waist band is quite soft and comfy. I really like the dual buckles which allow you to center the belay loop no matter your waist size. The way the leg loops are sewn in front does feel a little awkward when simply belaying or standing around in the harness. However once the harness is weighted you no longer feel them against your leg, and I didn't really notice it while climbing. Also when hanging from the harness it never felt like the harness was digging into me or cutting off circulation. The rear gear loops felt like they were a little too far back but on a trad climb that may help keep your cams behind you. I will have to get some more climbing in before I can decide if I like their positioning or not. All in all though a very comfy harness with good adjust-ability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Harness Bought this as my first harness and it's exactly what I expected. Comfortable enough to wear all day long and has plenty of gear loops. The thing that really sold me was the double sided adjustment for the waist. I'm pretty particular about having everything centered and I like the two-sided adjustment for that reason. The only downside might be weight but I'm not exactly counting grams yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for women too! As a woman with a 30 inch wait and 42 inch hips I had a REALLY hard time finding a harness that fit comfortably. The womens harnesses were either just barely too big or ridiculously small (and I had to force them over my huge hips), no in between! This harness was recommended by an employee (male with a 30 inch waist) and he said I would love it. I bravely ordered it online (as sadly the store was out of the size 1) and crossed my fingers. I climbed with it all last week and it is the most comfortable harness ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good. I use the harness for indoor and going to start using it out doors. So far a good harness. Comfortable and stable.

Does this harness have a haul loop on the back? If so, what is it rated to?

Asked by: Phatboy
The Pezl Corax does not have a loop specifically designated for a haul rope. It has gear loops on the back that can carry a maximum of 5 kg (about 11 lbs.) each. You can attach the end of a haul line to one of these gear loops and take it with you, as long as the rope doesn’t weigh more than 11 lbs. Once you finish the pitch, then you can haul up your gear. These loops won’t work if you want to have the weight of your haul bag hang from your harness while you climb.

So, I'm male with size 36 waist, so should I go with Size 1 or size 2? Thanks.

Asked by: JustAnotherDude
We recommend measuring your thigh to find a size most compatible for you. Based on just your waist measurement, a size 2 will be a fine fit.
