Currently using five of these in the garage

I can't think of a better way to store bikes- vertically and off to the side. My five bikes are basically an afterthought in the garage instead of being a big production. I combined these with a french cleat (google it, super easy to do) so I'm not tied to studs and can move them where they fit best.

Clever storage for limited space, w some caveats

I bought six of these for all my bikes in the garage and overall, I would say they are probably best option for the money and for a garage with limited wall space (the only comparable model is almost twice as expensive from Topeak). However, I have some design complaints now that I've had mine installed for almost a year. First, it doesn't hold the bikes flush and pulls away once the bike is hanging (see pic), especially heavier mountain bikes. Second, the coating on the hooks is pretty poor and have come off, which now is scratching my rims (see pic). Third, the small stabilizing handle that's mounted below is too small, especially if it’s a mountain bike, so I had to improvise to make sure the bike stayed stable (see pic). Fourth, I had to also buy separate larger hooks for my mountain bikes (which actually should be included or at least packaged as an option for some of us that need them for wider mountain bike tires), but the larger hooks are still slightly too small and it's a struggle to always hang my mountain bikes (to be clear I'm not talking about fat bike tires, mine are 2.5/2.6s). It usually takes couple of tries to get them hooked properly where the tire is sitting in snuggly, which I think is another reason why it's scratching my rims (because it's too tight, and slight too narrow). If I wasn't buying six of them, I probably would have gone with the Topeak. Topeak has beefier design for the hooks and the stabilizing unit below is larger and specifically designed to hold a wheel (unlike the Feedback Sports one, which looks like an off the shelf handle from the hardware store), plus the finish/coating is much better to protect the rims. Hope Feedback Sports can take the feedback (no pun intended) and make some improvements as I think for the money, they have the best product in the market.

Exactly what we needed

Bike where stored on the floor taking too much room. The product is prefect. We can still have plenty of room to walk in front and behind our trucks. Easy install.

awesome space saver - super durable

These things work as advertised! They're super durable. The only gripe that drops it from 5 stars to 4 is the lack of ability to order one with the extra long hook. (The hook it ships with is good for all bikes except 29-ers...for those you need an extra long hook which costs an extra few bucks). Beyond getting bikes off the floor (any cheap-o hook can do that), these actually pivot super well, and get them fairly angled against the wall. This is really nice if you have them on a wall where you walk by a lot, or need to park a car and not worry about hitting your bikes, etc. I'm only annoyed I've gone this long in life without these!

Works for close spaces

We committed to being able to put both our cars in our garage, which means space is at a premium. Most bike storage racks jut out way too much to work for us. The pivoting nature of these storage racks fit the bill perfectly. I can put up the bikes, then angle them out of the way. Our garage door rail is low enough that I need to duck under the handlebars of the bikes, but it sure keeps the rack low enough for ease of placement. It takes a learning curve to figure out how to hold the bike to place it properly on the rack, but once learned, it is a snap.

Good stuff but its not as simple as you'd think

Pretty good value. I must have missed the part about needing long hooks for mountain bikes because after mounting these I was bummed to find out i needed longer hooks before i could use them. You could probably fit a 2.3 tire with a shallow rim but that is the max! Also, I was really conserned about having the entire weight of the hanging from the hook. I mounted and re mounted the racks twice so i could get just a bit of weight resting on the back tire but the bikes dont pivot freely or easily unless they are completely off the ground. I plan on buying a couple more of these because the price is right(even with buying another $10 hook) and theyre pretty versatile.

Great for hanging your bikes

I purchased three of these racks after we purchased a couple of new bikes and I had to finally organize the garage. These are very easy to install. The directions are clear on the box. It takes a little measuring to make everything fit. The one measurement that I had to figure out was how far from the ceiling the hook needed to be to give enough room to get the wheel on the hook...the answer was 12 inches. Also when you swing the bikes against the wall, the ~16" space of the studs in the wall seems to work just fine. I had to flip the hook around to make these fit my required configuration...you need an allen wrench to unscrew the hinge bolt. I was a little worried being able to lift the bikes high enough to hook the front wheels, but with a little practice it is very easy. Overall the installation was very easy. I am very pleased the bikes are up off the floor and easy to access.

Worked well for me

I needed to hang four bikes in a limited space. This was the most economical option that fit my needs - to store four bikes and let them swing to one side for more walk clearance. These are not fancy but they work as expected. There are more expensive, elegant mounts, but these do the job. I installed them on 16" center studs, with every other one staggered down 6", to help with handlebar interference. They mount securely - screw purchase into studs is mandatory, and are sturdy and secure to use. I did pre-lube them, as others suggest, to cut down the squeaks. All in all, a good working solution that didn't break the bank. I'm pleased.

Simple and effective

I was a little worried with people complaining about their wheels not fitting, but my 650b x 47c tires fit with some room to spare (Hunt wheelset if it helps anyone). The only issue I had was that the hinge was REALLY squeaky when pivoting. I fixed it easily enough by removing the hinge screw and greasing any surfaces that rub. Only other thing to point out is if you're mounting onto a finished wall, you really have to watch out for scratching up the wall with your pedals, as they may contact the wall before the handlebars. I put some contact paper up for some light protection, but I still need to cover up some more. The lower wheel bumper is literally a cabinet handle, which is kind of funny but it works. Clever way to keep cost down.
