I have an earlier version. I was concerned about no waistbelt, but the sternum strap results in a very secure fit. I wore it on a hike to Angel's Landing in Zion National Park. This is my go-to for airplane trips (with the water bladder empty) since there are lots of easily accessible pockets and the main compartment holds an amazing amount. The side pocket holds a water bottle. It is super comfortable on a bicycle (with extra reflector) because it is a fairly short pack.
Not the best quality and not supported by CamelPak. I was unaware that the backpack does not have a catch loop to hold the bladder up, but rather a sewn in bladder catch handle midway down the inside large pocket. For me, this means I would crush the bladder and knock it loose when stuff the pack with gear. I tried to contact CamelBak corporate to ask if I was missing something. They could not find the pack in their inventory and would call me back once they located a spec manual or pack to look at. I never received a return call so I returned the pack to REI.
Used it for day hikes while camping. Plenty of room for food, water etc. I would recommend it for men or women!
I hike 5 to 8 miles a couple times a week around the Phoenix area. Great for these shorter hikes. Enough room to have a back up reservoir if you want to spend more time then initially planned. I do wish they would make one of these made for camera equipment.
This a my first hydropack I've ever owned and it's great product. I definily recommend this to anyone that is aware of it's importance.
I walk and bike a lot where I live and this is perfect! Has an awesome amount of storage for all my personal Items plus it's perfect for keeping hydrated!
