REI Co-op  Expandable Packing Cube Set

I had already tried another brand of packing cube and was very satisfied. Then I tried REI's Expandable Cubes and like them better because they are, well, expandable. You can back one in the expanded position, then zip it into a smaller position. It seems counter-intuitive, but the addition of cubes actually helps you to pack smaller. The unintended benefit is that it also makes it easy to find items without completely unpacking. I pack shirts in the big one and just take it out of my suit case or pack when looking for a shirt. Then put it back and nothing else is disturbed. I wish I had learned about packing cubes earlier.

These cubes are awesome. In the large cube I easily packed 5 long sleeve shirts, 2 pairs of thick waterproof pants, 2 pairs of long underwear and another long sleeve wool shirt and I think there was still room to spare. They turn into a brick once they're stuffed full but that works for me. You could easily pack all of the clothes you need and stick a cube into a backpack or carry-on for a weekend trip. They are also awesome for backpacking. My personal preference is dirty vs clean in separate cubes.

I used these when spending 3 weeks backpacking Asia. They were amazing! It was extremely convenient to have 3 of these stacked up in my pack, instead of clothes everywhere. I would keep shorts, tshirts, then a days outfit in one set, and it would make my life much easier. Plus I fit about 10 tshirts in just one of the packs, and about 5 pair of shorts with room to spare in the other.

Loved these when I first got them 2 years ago to use while traveling Europe with only a backpack. Really help to organize and save space in your pack. However, the first set ripped where the mesh meets rip stop and I exchanged them. I've used the second set 3 times and they are ripping worse than the first set. I am not rough on them and neither is my wife. The wife's set is ripping in the same spot. That's THREE sets of 2 cubes...6 cubes total, all ripping. Buyer beware. Maybe REI will refund me 3 years later lol?

These saved my life. Seriously. I bought them last minute for a three-month backpacking trip to New Zealand and I was so glad I did! They make packing simpler and easier and I could keep all my clothes in one place for easy access. I found it worked best to roll my clothes and place them in rows. Once filled (and I mean FILLED. I stuffed these things!) they fit nicely in my backpack. Near the end of my trip I did notice a little tearing near where the fabric meets the zippers, but like I said, I stuffed them, continuously, for three months. So worth it, great buy!

Makes packing fun. I only recently started using packing cubes for travel. Can't believe I waited this long. These things hold a ton of stuff and keep you from having to rifle through your suitcase to find things. Underwear in one, shirts in another, workout clothes in another , and at the end of the trip, all the dirty laundry can go in one for easy sorting when you return. These are expandable and zip down smaller to fit more into your suitcase. Excellent quality, super lightweight and mesh makes them breathable.

I got 2 sets, one for me and one for my husband. I could not believe all the stuff I packed in each one. In the large I was able to put 7 t-shirts and 2 pants for my husband, and for me 8 tops and 3 pants all rolled up. In the small you can fit all your underwear, including socks, and any other small thing you need. Love them

I bought these to use on a month long international trip. I'll need to pack light and maximize space in my luggage on the trip. I had the opportunity to try the cube set out this week on a shorter trip. They work great as compression cubes. I filled the expanded cubes then zipped them down to the compressed size. I'm amazed at how much they will hold. They also work great for keeping my luggage organized. I should have bought these years ago.

Very versatile because of the ability to collapse or expand, these cubes can hold quite a bit of stuff. They have just enough shape to allow you to pack them into a suitcase or duffle while utilize all the space.

I've bought four different brands of packing cubes and these are by far the best. I've had them for two years now. They are starting to get a few small holes in the mesh, but they are still better than the rest. 1. they are stretchy and flexible, 2. they have great zippers that do not catch even when they are very full, 3. they are light weight and 4. the mesh is nice.
