Sizing Notes

Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.

SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.

TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.

Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.

Inseam is measured to the floor.

Soft, comfortable, loose
I bought a couple of these t-shirts to wear as a base layer under my motorcycle jacket. The have performed exactly as desired. Though I usually wear a large t-shirt, the medium size has fit me well. As for the reviewer who complained about them shrinking, I tried the t-shirts on before washing them, and they have now been washed twice now. No shrinkage at all. Perhaps the fabric has been changed since that review. But there should be no worries about them shrinking.

Quality of new version has gone down.
I was hoping to get another shirt just like the previous (2) Sahara shirts I own. Both the old and the new shirts are RN#37249. The old version is 50% Polyester/50% Recycled Polyester, Made in Vietnam. This new version is 95% Polyester/5% Spandex, Made in El Salvador. The newer version has 2 shortfalls. First of all, it shrinks...significantly. I wear these shirts in some off-the wall places around the world, so when I can find a laundry facility to do my clothes, the washing is almost always dried on hot or super hot. So I dry my clothes on the hot cycle at home to see how much they will shrink. The old Sahara didn't shrink, but this new one does. Secondly, the new Sahara shirt is heavier. I haven't had the chance to really test it out in extreme temps or humidity, so I don't know about the wicking properties. But I can say for sure that this shirt weighs more, and feels thicker than the old version. It folds thicker too, so it takes up a little more room. This new Sahara is more of an under-layer for colder temps vice the lightweight product I was hoping for.

Lint magnet, something got lost on the new version

These have been my go to work shirts for over a decade. The original version made in Vietnam was soft, didn't shrink, almost impossible to wrinkle, and very durable. The new version is very soft but collects all of the lint in the washer and dryer. I have to use two or three lint roller sheets on each shirt to get most of the lint off. The new stitching pulls into a wadded mess if it contacts Velcro. The sleeves on all of my shirts where the cuffs are stitched are pulled into a clump. Lastly the material sticks to itself and makes folding you laundry without wrinkles a challenge. Now I am on the hunt for a new work shirt. Too bad I ordered 10 of these thinking the quality would be the same.

Perfect

Great shirt. I hike in the sun all the time so I like the long sleeves and built-in UPF. Lightweight with a soft "old t-shirt" feel. The small seems "smaller" than comparable REI shirts I've tried on, which for me is great as even smalls are sometimes too big. Fabric is also very stretchy which makes peeling it off easy. Its very comfortable for a day hike, a run, or as a base layer.

Great shirt!

I bought this shirt after we moved to Denver because I needed sun protection. I've worn this on hikes in the hot sun in July and I'd highly recommend it. Lightweight, breathable and great price! Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed it

I wanted a long sleeve technical T that wasn't hot and also super soft. I wore it under my light snowboarding jacket in warm weather temps (30-55 deg F) out west. I was nice and soft, breathed well and kept me dry. It also washes well. I hung dry both shirts I bought just because I didn't want to chance them shrinking. At $30, a good purchase in my opinion. I would buy again.

Works well in the heat.

I HATE wearing sun screen! So I cover up instead. Usually I will use a short sleeve moisture wicking base with the Sahara tech long sleeve button-up but if it gets real hot, a single layer works a little better. This is a good Base layer that wicks well and is comfortable. It may not be as fancy as the other brands but it is also half the price. If you need to keep the sun off and stay cool, this is a fine shirt for the job!

Great Shirt

I bought this looking for a shirt to fly fish in and avoid putting sunscreen on. Plan on trying it out. I have worn it out in the sun and no sunburn at all. However, for hot weather and humid weather esp here in the south I think would be too hot. However, I look forward to wearing it as a base layer in the fall and have enjoyed wearing it lounging around the house because its ridiculously comfy. Great color too, esp for hunting trout. By the way, I'm 5'11" ,180lb and the Large fit great, more of a relaxed fit which is what I wanted.

Perfect long sleeve as weather gets cooler.

Nice and warm, but not too heavy a fabric. Perfect as fall arrives. Fits perfect, and a unique color. Will probably buy another soon!

Perfect base layer

I now have three of these and will get more because I wear them constantly in the winter. Soft and stretchy enough to lounge around a cooler house and takes the scratchy out from under heavier cool-weather shirts when it's time to head out.
