About six months ago, I bought one of these shirts in the orange color, it's my favorite color....... I wore the shirt everywhere, on the trail, around the house, at work, out to eat. No matter WHERE I wore the shirt I was comfortable, never too hot, not too cold. If I perspired,I noticed it quickly dissipated. It's the perfect travel companion. Wash it in a sink and hang it up, it's ready to wear I. About an hour. I see the reviews talking about loose threads, yes there are when you get the shirt.......... trim them off...... No big deal....... I now own a total of three of these shirts and intend to buy more........... Nuff said.....
I like the fit and feel of this shirt. A comfortable cut. I find I'm at the top end of many XXL shirts and often have to order 3XL. This XXL fits nice and loose without straining when I extend my arms. The pit vents are actually extend to form the bottom of the sleeve so it should be cool in the Summer. The back vent is tiny but will allow for some air flow in a breeze. The two pockets have small gussets on the side that will help when I over stuff them. I caught this shirt on sale for about 1/4 of regular price. I guess Mud Green isn't a popular color. I like it. I can not attest to the durability yet, but it seems well made. I'm going to order another one at the sale price.
I purchased one of these shirts about six months ago and loved it right off the bat. I was eating a sandwich the first day of wearing it. Long story short, mustard stain, set in, no wash,...stain came right out. Went out and bought a 2nd shirt! Shirt does not hold wrinkles. Yes, as others have said, LOTS of loose threads around button holes. I trimmed mine and have had no problems.Shirt is comfortable and cool in hot weather. I HATE hot weather (80*+) and I feel comfortable wearing this shirt. Pockets have ample room to fit a cell phone and wallet. Will buy another.
I needed a shirt for summer hikes that did not get soaking wet and dried quickly. I had the long sleeve version for years and tried the short sleeve style. It was perfect and by the end of last summer I had purchased 3 more. After hiking to my destination, I might take it off and hang it up to dry - about 10 minutes. I have an average build and it fits me perfectly. I would not call it relaxed as some have noted. They have held up well and I take them on vacations to warm weather destinations and they pack and wear well. No ironing needed and they can be worn out to restaurants, etc. Very happy with these shirts. I do wish they had kept the older design with the sunglass loop, velcro vent across the back, not just a small slot. I do like the underarm mesh.
These shirts are comfortable in hot, humid areas like Costa Rica. They dry very quickly and can be washed easily in a sink while traveling. Wrinkle minimally. The long sleeve version provides better sun protection. I miss the little loop on the pocket that held my glasses on prior versions.
I like almost everything about this shirt and the size as indicated seems to be correct, unlike that sizing of the REI Igneo Plaid Shirt which is cut one size too small. The only problem I had with this shirt (and the plaid version) is that the sewing of the buttonholes could be better. Practically every buttonhole had loose threads that would catch when unbuttoning the shirt.
I have a previous version of this shirt and love it - possibly my favorite outdoor/travel shirt. I just ordered two more of these and was disappointed when I tried them on to learn the following: 1. Like already mentioned, there are loose threads on all of the button holes. 2. The design and material has changed. There is no longer a sunglasses loop, the back vent is no longer velcro, the underarm vents are larger, and the pockets are designed differently. This isn't necessarily bad, just different. 3. The deal breaker is that I am a size small, and the previous version of this shirt fit perfectly. The two new size smalls that I ordered are varying sizes. One is comparable to a medium and the other closer to a large. Although both say small. I'm not sure what someone who is a small should do anymore and I wonder how large the other sizes are as these shirts do not feel like they are designed for someone who is even slightly active. I think I will try to return these to the store to see if they might have any of the previous versions or if there might be one there that actually fits me. Beware if you are ordering this based on previous experiences with this shirt.
Ive worn this shirt a few time in a month. Its comfortable, light and airy. The mesh under arms let air in to help keep me dry and stink free! (and i'm a pretty sweaty guy.) The shirt also dries fast if wet. Def a good buy.
I recently bought a few of the tech shirts and they are great. I work outside in the heat and because these shirts are well ventilated I can stay cool all day.
i purchased this shirt a month ago and could not be more pleased. It wicks well and looks great. The fit is true to size, but it is tapered. I'm skinny, so that was a plus for me. While it is still new I think it will last longer than my other wicking shirts because the weave is heavier and appears to be more durable.
