Coal  Yukon Brim Beanie

Purchased the charcoal colored one. Overall fits and looks well. The nice pattern is not highly visible as on the lighter colors. There is one flaw with this product though. The inner lining only comes up about four inches and if it shifts after putting it on, you end up with a bad hair day. The price for this product is at the upper end for its type, so this should not happen for a product at this price. There are cheaper ones with a full inner lining of which I own one. In summary, I still like it, just not fully happy as I need to fiddle with the fitting, checking my hair frequently, readjusting when needed.

Great purchase looks good and is lined nicely purchase made easy and comes in bag kept from harm.

On a visit to cold Eugene with my wife, I realized I had forgotten a hat and gloves; picked this up at the REI in town. I usually like caps with ear flaps, but there were none available there, so I grabbed this one. The lining is nice, as I get itchy wearing coarse wool. The slight brim is just enough to keep the sun from glaring on my sunglasses, while the hat itself easily covers my ears without unnecessary pulling. My wife loved the way it looked. Be advised though, that the coarser weave in the wool means wind does get through on the ears, although it does cut that wind quite a bit.

I bought this cap not knowing what to expect. I really like the fact it was made of wool and would keep my head warm in the snow. When I looked inside I saw the inside was lined to cover the ears with fleece, not only was this comfortable but it kept my ears nice and warm. I was very pleased with the small brim, it keeps the sun out of your eyes and on another occasion it helped to keep out the snow and sleet as well. I recommend this wool cap if you want to keep your head and ears warm and toasty.

My husband can pull this down to cover his ears and the back of his neck (or not if you keep the cuff folded up as in photo) and the little brim keeps the front of the hat from sliding down over his eyebrows. He loves it! The hats in the store each fit a bit differently. He has a big head and found one that fit comfortably. The color is very black, not the grey it appears in the photo. It also has a soft band inside for the part that touches your forehead and ears.

I've had this hat for 10 years now, and it still looks amazing and is the best I've ever owned. Keeps me warm, but not sweaty, it's not itchy, the brim is perfect to keep the falling snow out of your face, and I get compliments on how great it looks all the time.

This is the third time I have bought this beanie. I lost the first one in London and realized how much I loved it so I went and got another one. Now I’m just adding a second one to my stash for travels. It is very cozy and warm and I love the brim which shades out the sun when I’m hiking or boarding. Definitely The best beanie ever.

I bought the beanie for a 10 mile hike and the weather turned bad shortly into the trip. The beanie held up well and stayed warm even through significant freezing rain. The beanie held shape after drying and was ready for a second day of cold and wind.

I am size medium hat and this fits me well, and I think it would also fit a large size head as well, since I could pull it down further if I wanted. The blue is a true navy, not the brighter blue that it appears to be on my computer monitor. It looks good on my round, pudgy face, so it would probably look good on anybody!

I must say that I agree with the other commenters here that rave about this hat. I put it on in the store and instantly loved it. The comfort is amazing; it’s an incredibly soft hat. The short brim is a perfect touch and differentiates it from traditional beanies. I also noticed how it easily covers the ears without feeling like I’m stretching the hat. Plus, there isn’t the “extra” material on the top of the head that I’ve felt sometimes. Quite possibly is the perfect winter hat.
