This is the *only* inflator to purchase

The tiny size, the cool looks, the very light weight, the mind-numbing simplicity of operation, the low cost of threaded 16g CO2 cartridges (about a buck each in quantity)...this machine is as close to perfection as one can get. Don't even think about purchasing anything else. Just screw the inflator onto the cartridge and then jam it onto the valve stem with substantial force. Hold for six seconds to obtain maximum pressure...and you're done. Notes: --For most applications the larger 20g cartridges should be used in temperatures below 45°F. Or just use the 20g cartridges year-round. --When inflating, one's hand should contact only the CO2 cartridge, not the inflator. To do otherwise could cause the inflator's cartridge port to not move relative to the inflator body, which would cause either no or inadequate inflation to occur. --Compared to a pump, somewhat more length of valve stem must be clear of the rim in order for the inflator to work--perhaps a minimum of 3/4". And like anything else, a little bit of practice in the garage helps ensure success in the field. So be sure to burn a few cartridges practicing at home on the actual wheels you roll with.

Works like a charm

I think it was definitely worth the extra 5 dollars to have adjustable air flow control. I amazingly got a flat the day after I bought this and it was super easy and since it's so light I don't mind carrying it with me all the time!! Also, it appears if you do not use the entire canister while filling your tire the canister will maintain pressure if you just keep the nozzle attached. I have 25x700c road bike tires and the 16g cartridges was definitely overkill, I will be buying 12g cartridges in the future!

According to the package, made in China

I bought this to replace the previous version which I used successfully for years. I leant it to someone on the Joy Rd. climb of a recent Grasshopper and they absconded with it. ANYWAY... The REI website says this is made in America, and that is why I went out of my way to buy this from REI rather than trying a Lezyne produce from the LBS. According to the package, this is made in "China and Taiwan". Works fine, but I thought I was paying a premium for made in USA. I guess not.

Easy to use, works great

The chuck included in this pack is really easy to use and takes up minimal room in my saddle pack. Just screw in the cartridge and press onto the valve - instant inflated tire! Pretty much foolproof. I've used it twice this week (run of bad luck) and I've been on my way in under 10 minutes.

Straight forward CO2 inflating system

I have a bunch of these and they work well and are small and easy to store in a backpack or seat bag. You have to have threaded CO2 cartridges though, which isn't that big of a deal.

very compact inflator

I needed something compact...this fit the bill just perfectly. minimal space to store and it's easy to use too. this came with a 16g and 20g co2 screw top cartrdge. the 16g is good enough, since it's only good for one time use anyways.
