Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit The first pair of shoes I've ever bought online that have actually fit! I wear and 8.5, and have somewhat wide feet - the 39s fit perfectly, and are so comfortable. I'm a life-long chaco-wearer, but these are a little nicer, and even more comfortable. It took about 2 days for them to break in, and now I don't to take them off. Will add Birkenstocks to my YES brand

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and Comfy These were my first pair of Birks - I wanted something with a thinner strap and something lightweight (I normally wear Chacos). Honestly? I think I prefer these over my typical sandals because they are light, comfortable, and I had no issue breaking them in. I wear them all the time. Highly recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cracked Cork Love the look and the feel of these shoes. I wear them daily and they look good with just about everything I wear. Today however I noticed that the cork base is cracked all the way through where my foot flexes. This is a huge bummer as I have only had them 3 months. Sad that even Birkenstocks have quality issues these days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 9 months so far. I bought these shoes last year in the middle of summer and they are my go to sandals. They took a few weeks to break in. I wear them a few times a week to school and shopping and they have definitely lasted longer than any other sandal I have ever owned. I thought they were going to be dead after walking in them for three weeks during a monsoon while backpacking SE Asia. But I found that the rain really didn't do much to them and they still look good! I'm about to buy a second pair!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Started to crack Hard on your feet the first couple weeks, but once you break them in they feel amazing. Although I bought these last spring, after three months a wear(maybe only wore them a few times each month because of the weather) the sides started to crack. I returned them, and REI gave me a gift card so I could try again with another pair of birks. I hope my next pair lasts the summer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cute and comfy sandals I love Birkenstock sandals. I have a pair of black Gizeh's that I bought a few years ago that I still wear, but I have morton's toes so I find them slightly uncomfortable on those two toes. I didn't have this issue with the Mayari's I've had in the past, so I'm hoping these will work better. Unfortunately, these are too big for me. I'm going to have to exchange for a size down. It's strange because I recently tried on a different style in this size and they fit perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Sandal I bought these sandals a little over a year ago and LOVE them. These are absolutely my go-to sandal throughout the non-raining spring days and summer in the PNW. And I get tons of compliments! They did take some breaking in, which I mostly did around the house and gradually increased use. This spring, I'm noticing that my legs need to get acclimated to them again since I use different muscles wearing sandals versus tennis shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality shoe I live for comfort, I splurge on hiking shoes and tennis shoes. When I was told I had to have surgery on my foot the surgeon talked to me about shoes. Sandals for the most part were out of the question at least little flats and flip flops. Then these came along. They are cute, comfortable, and "fancy". I've walked a couple of miles and felt great. Totally worth the investment. Once you break them in they are golden.

I wear a 9.5 typically should I size up to a 41 or go with a 40?

Asked by: SKOPPY
We recommend ordering a size 40 if you are normally a 9.5.

I know I need a 36 narrow in these shoes, but on this site it doesn't specify whether or not these birks are the "narrow" or "regular". Which ones are they?

Asked by: rcb23
These are a regular width, not narrow.
