33 Year Old Woman Here - My Favorite Chair!

About 2 years ago, I was browsing the camp chair section at my local REI. I already had a full-sized camp chair, but I was in search of something that could stay in the hatch of my car, without sacrificing much space. I sat in all of the smaller / lightweight adult chairs first, and found that they did not provide very much comfort for my lower back. However, I was used to that, because the larger camp chairs don't have any lower back support either, at least for people my size. As I was trying to narrow down options, I saw a pretty purple and teal chair leaning up against a bin of different chairs. I wasn't sure where the rest of the chairs like it were, but I picked it up, checked the price tag, and noticed it was only $25, for the cutest one in the store! Still not realizing this was a kid's chair, I figured the price probably meant it was discontinued or something. Then, I sat in it...holy cow! My lower back was properly cradled, the seat felt very comfortable, the height was more ideal than the ground chair I was considering (I could sit normally or stretch my legs out), and there was a cup holder! I sat in it for a minute, marveling at (what I thought was) my ultimate clearance find, then folded it up and threw the strap on my shoulder - no one else was getting this chair, it was mine! I proceeded with the rest of my shopping, and stumbled upon several more of these chairs. That's when I realized it was a kid's chair! I checked into the weight capacity, and was pleased to find it was 150 lbs., which gave me 30 lbs. to spare. Coincidentally, my dog weighs 30 lbs. and loves to snuggle up on my lap in front of a campfire. Needless to say, I bought the chair. After a couple of years of regular enjoyment, this chair is still as comfortable as the day I bought it, has remained in excellent condition, fits perfectly in my trunk next to the factory subwoofer, and doesn't even rattle when the bass drops. I have A LOT of outdoor gear, but considering practical usage and price, this chair stands out as a tremendous value for me. I highly recommend this product for kids, or any adult weighing less than 150 lbs.

Great until it failed

We have three of these chairs, one for each kid. They've all done well until our 50 lb 9 year old daughter plunked down in hers a few weekends back and the leg failed. The metal bar bent and snapped. Must have been poor craftsmanship on this one chair. Was disappointed that REI changed their warranty to 1 year and would not replace, repair or offer a trade in of some sort. We've been really happy with all of our other gear, including our adult REI camp chairs.

My nephew loves his new outdoor chair. It is very easy to carry and durable. We will be bringing it to the beach and all our outdoor events and activities.

Great … BUT

I bought this chair for my 4yo son. It’s sturdy, it’s comfortable, and I like the integrated carry strap with the clip to keep it closed. BUT, that red push/pull locking mechanism is the devil. Extremely poor design! The first time I tried to pull it to collapse the chair, the red cap came off. Trying to grasp that little metal pin to pull is near impossible, especially because unless the chair is in a perfect position the pin is clamped shut. Last time I tried for 10 min in the near 100 degree heat after my sons soccer game and gave up. Had to throw it in the back of our car still fully in seat mode. Whoever designed this chair should change it to some kind of cotter pin pull, so you aren’t relying on the factory glue job for the chair to easily work! I’m trying to re-glue it now.

Perfect for Small Adults

As a small woman - 5'3" 112lbs - this chair is my best gear! Folds small enough to fit in a 25" suitcase, light enough to hike to the beach with and comfortable enough to sit in for long periods. The only problem is that big adults want to try it out all the time - I am always worried they are going to break it. After 3 years of extended use, the seat is starting to wear out, but I will definitely be buying a replacement.

Quality You’d Expect

This chair is pretty great, maybe a little expensive for a kids chair but it’s functionality and quality are better than what you typically get in a kids product. My daughter is one and already likes to sit around and eat snacks in it so we’ll be using this one for years. Seems like an investment well made.

Must have kiddo camp chair

This is such a solid kid camp chair - very sturdy and easy for even our two year old to get in and out of without tipping over. It was the envy of the friends we went camping with and love the color combo!

Nice, Small Chair

This is a good quality chair, but is definitely for younger kids. My 7yo is about at the top end of the comfortable size for this chair. My 12yo is better served by an adult chair.

Great Chair

Bought my 3yr old daughter this chair after she out grew a smaller cartoon chair. She loves it , took it camping 2weeks ago, got plenty of compliments on color and durability. Very comfortable and large enough to enjoy for a few more years.

Great Little Chair

11/10 would recommend! This little chair is all you need! I'm 5'11"/150 Lbs, and I fit in it, so it's not just for children. Also, the cup holder fits even the largest of cups (i.e Yeti Low Ball), so that's quite nice as well. The little carrying strap that clips is revolutionary, like I can't say enough nice things about this chair. It's also nicely priced. I will purchase many more of these in the future.

From a kid's point of view

My parents bought this for me and I really like it. I am too big for it now that I am eight, but it was great until I was six and a half. I really like how it was very light, but it was a little bit flimsy. I think it is great for kids three to six and a half!
