As a result of a theft I recently purchased a new bike and a new set of new accessories that included tire levers. Within the first month I rolled over a staple and was the victim of a slow-leak. Thankfully it occurred close to home. The rims are quite deep and, as a result, it took me several hors that included bloodied knuckles, sweat and frustration to remove the tire and tube with my conventional levers. As a result, I ruined the levers and a couple of tubes. While researching the wheels, to determine if there have been similar frustrations, I happened upon the Speedier Lever. I was impressed with the comments and went to my local REI. I wanted to test the tool and my ability/inability to change out the tire and tube faster than my previous attempt. I was pleasantly surprised as it took me only 5 minutes to remove and reinstall. Great design and a very effective tool that is now in my under-seat wedge.

Didn't meet my expectations

I use Schwalbe tires exclusively and all fit my rims tightly, so I'm always interested in a tool that claims to make tire removal and installation easier. This one didn't, despite it's name and despite online videos purporting to show it working. At one end is a basic tire lever - nothing magic about that - and at the other is a clip that fits over the rim; you're supposed to be able to push or pull it to effortlessly seat the tire bead. It didn't work, too much friction. The handle was uncomfortable, and a feature without a compelling benefit. "Speedier," it was not.

It works!!!

I saw the normal negatives, as we all think we're smarter than the person that invented it. So I did something new - I read the instructions. Wow, so it works fantastic. I've got a large rim and tight tire and damaged a new tube going in. So there's got to be a better way, and here it is.

Easiest tire lever to use.

Recently I was recommended this tire lever and decided to give it a try. By far it is the easiest and fastest lever I have used. (I have broken many regular plastic ones and started to use steel core ones) Having the second side to put on stubborn tires is useful when you can't get it back on by hand. It is designed to prevent you from pinching your new tube when prying the tire back on. Also having the knuckle guard saves your hands if you have flat spokes. The best part, you only need one. Even though it is made of plastic, very sturdy and never had an issue with strength.

Save your thumbs on install!

When I first tried these levers I thought they were a bit clumsy on the removal, but they worked.... "whatever," right? Well then I got a pair of tires that are notoriously difficult to put on the rim. I had never needed the INSTALL feature before, but gee that is where this lever earns it's keep! It took me about 30 seconds to install a tire I would have wrestled with for over an hour! They also have a space saving feature for my saddle bag... I can securely strap them to the sides of the bag by running the bag's velcro straps through the big handle, and it doesn't impact my riding at all.

Did not work on my tubeless tires

I had great hopes for this lever. I purposely purchased it to mount a pair of Continental 5000TL (tubeless tires) which are known to be a bit difficult to get on a number of rims. Simply put it did not work for me. I was left with roughly 6" of the bead hanging over the outside lip of the rim and I could not close the difference any further despite several efforts. I read below that another user had a similar problem. I would return it, but it's not worth the cost of shipping. This lever may work fine on tubed tires and I will keep it for that purpose, but I would not recommend it for tubeless tire installation.

Look no further for a tire lever. This is it!

If I could give this product 10 stars I certainly would! You spend a lot less time being frustrated with installing tires and more time on the road enjoying the sport of cycling! You might think you need to buy two, but one is all you need! This lever is far more superior than conventional levers (pedro's/park tools). Great design for narrow tires. It used to take me 40 minutes to put on ONE single tire, now it takes about 5 minutes per wheel. I am absolutely more confident about reducing the risk of pinching the tube with this lever. It is a flawless design and doesn't take a genius to figure out how to use it. I love this product. I used to hate putting on road tires and would have a shop do it, however now I would not mind fixing a flat or putting on a new tire. Just save yourself some frustration and pay the extra 3 bucks for a better lever. You will NOT regret it!

Make Tire Removal and Mounting a Very Quick Task

I have several brand of tires and both wire and folding bead tires. For starters I have been able to remove both wire and folding bead tires in seconds with just this one tool. Now on to the really good stuff. The Speedier Lever makes mounting a tire a piece of cake. There are some tires that have taken me nearly 30 minutes of sweat and blood (literally knuckle blood sacrifice to mount) using regular tire irons. Let's not forget the number of tubes that have gotten pinch flats just from mounting. All of these problems go away with the Speedier Lever. I can fully mount the second bead of a tire in well under 30 seconds and no longer fear pinch flats. With the Speedier Lever I now feel free to swap tires at will to match the conditions instead of sucking it up and just riding with what's on the rim. Some serious cyclists have several sets of wheels ready to go with different tires to match conditions. This might make sense for a race, but for the average person with a couple (or more) sets of tires the Speedier Lever will save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars in wheel sets. The Speedier Lever is NOT a gimmick. It works and works well!

Great for road tires

Bought this because I read the reviews about how easy this lever made changing tires. After getting a flat and having serious issues changing the tire with regular levers, I remembered reading these reviews online wondering if it would really make a difference. When I went to rei to pick up some extra tubes I gave this crankbrothers lever a shot. Boy was it worth it. Road bike tires can be some what of a challenge when putting them back on the wheel. This lever made it easy and fast. Highly recommend

Must buy tool

The best tier lever that I have used. Super smooth for usage for road tires that are not too tight. If your tires are tight, this tool is still very useful. It took about 5 minutes to mount my tight road tires with it vs 2 days of blistered hands without this tool. Having an extra tire lever may be necessary to get a really tight tire on though.
