Does Not Cover the Entire Range

Several years ago I bought a trail book titles Trails of the Angels. I've used this guide book countless times to explore the local San Gabriel mountains. Unfortunately the trail map that came with the book is now falling apart, so I bought this map hoping to replace it. The National Geographic trail map is not nearly as detailed and doesn't even cover the most eastern part of the range. Maybe I'm just spoiled having used the Trails of the Angels trail map for so many years. The map is ok if you're just looking for a topo map of the general area.

Good Overall Map!

I prefer these waterproof maps over printing maps on regular paper or depending on electronics...call me old fashioned. Map is pretty big when opened up, and the topo may not be as detailed since it's 1:80,000 vs 60,000 like the Tom Harrison Maps. The good thing about this map is that it has the Angeles National Forest section north of the 14 Hwy...I can't find any detailed maps of this section unfortunately. If you're on a quest for the 100 peaks, this will serve as a good guide along with other resources.
