Sizing notes

Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not waterproof as advertised I bought these gloves because they were advertised as "100% waterproof" and the other reviewers seemed satisfied in that regard. On a recent run in light but steady rain, my hands started getting wet after about 90 minutes and after about 2 hours, the gloves were soaked through. Regarding warmth, my hands were warm enough during the above-mentioned run and the temperature was between 42 and 45 degrees, with no wind. On another, shorter run, my hands became uncomfortably cold after 20-30 minutes when the temperature was about 30 degrees. Regarding fit, they were fairly easy to put on when dry, but very difficult to put back on when wet due to the liner. I would suggest buying a size up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overpriced for what you get. Compared to the other Seirus brand gloves, these are really hard to put on compared to the same size in the lower priced all weather gloves. I haven't tried these in absolute wet conditions. I will say that wind cuts right through these things. For use inside a vehicle where wind is not an issue, they are adequate. The grip is rather crudely attached. On the index finger, the grip is rolled into the seams, but on the thumb, it is just stitched around the face of the thumb with excess hanging off. This WILL detach with use. The thumb is also very oddly sized. I have large hands that have no problem fitting in other XL size brands. On the thumbs, I have a good extra 3/4 inch of fabric which I find annoying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great gloves but not great touch I got these gloves for my birthday and I have to say I am pretty impressed. I own the north face version of these gloves and the agloves version, and I have to say that these were by far the warmest and the only ones that are waterproof. The only downside is that these DO NOT work as touch screen gloves. There are little bars on the tips of the thumb and index finger which are very awkward to use with any kind of technology. I have an iphone and a tablet and it works horribly with both. Overall I would highly recommend these gloves for casual wear in the cold and in the snow, but if you are looking for gloves that work with touch screens, look somewhere else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gloves for Outdoor Activities ! Note: I would suggest these for anyone who will be using them for ACTIVITIES. They do an absolutely amazing job in keeping your hands dry and warm during activities. I would not recommend these to anyone who is looking for gloves to keep their hands warm while they walk around town. I was looking for gloves that fit these categories: 1. Allow full dexterity 2. Thin profile 3. Keep my hands COMPLETELY DRY and WARM during snowboarding/snow-play 4. Allow me to use my smartphone on the mountain (I absolutely hate taking my gloves off to use my phone or zip up my zippers etc) 5. Durable enough to not get ripped up after falling several dozen times (while dragging my hands across the mountain) and durable enough to not get torn by my snowboard's sharp edges These gloves actually fit all of these categories. Very happy/satisfied with them. I definitely recommend these for people who will be participating in snow sports. Bought these for snowboarding and I couldn't be happier with them. I was able to use my phone (I could actually text, but it wasn't as quick as it would be without gloves obviously), zip up all of my zippers, tighten/tie all of my shoes/boots, fasten all of my straps (bindings and helmet) absolutely fine with them on. Dexterity was NOT an issue with these. Usage: I've used these for a total of 4 days up at Mammoth Mountain. 2 full days on the mountain (8-4PM) and out in the town for a night. Gloves still look great after getting dragged across the snow and falling down dozens of times (learning how to ride switch). Snowboard's sharp edges did not cut through these gloves at all. High quality gloves. When I used these gloves out in the town (they have a slim enough profile to be daily used), my hands did get cold. I believe this is just due to not actively using my hands and/or extremities as much as I did while snowboarding. I would not recommend them to someone who wants warm mittens or something similar to casually use day to day. Overal, very great gloves. Very waterproof and will keep your hands warm while still allowing dexterity.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unfortunately a dissapointment.. I needed/need a pair of gloves that keep you dry and wind resistant but still allow you to have finger dexterity to work with smaller tools. I bought a pair of gloves at REI a year ago under reccomendation of the clerk for wind/rain resistance. Took them back-didn't operate as advertised. Went back to REI about 5-6 weeks ago to try again. Took the clerk's advice; bought a pricier pair of gloves this time, thinking higher cost-higher quality. These gloves say on the label: waterproof and windproof. They are neither. Wore them in a rain storm and my hands froze. Was better off without them. They are going back too. Unfortunately, my last shot at gloves from REI. I'm sure the ski gloves there work just fine but they are just too bulky for my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these gloves. Was hesitant to purchase these based on the average rating but I figured with REIs great return policy I could take the risk. I needed a pair gloves that were between my leather driving gloves and Columbia ski gloves and these looked like they would do the job. They are a cross between my driving gloves and skiing gloves. I live in Reno and we have been getting some wind, cold, snow and rain over the last few weeks and these gloves have done everything I have asked of them. They keep my hands dry/warm and work with my touch screen. They have almost as much dexterity as my leather gloves but I have no problem giving that little bit up because these gloves are strong in every other way. My only slight complaint is that even though they are roomy and comfortable once you get them on, they are a little tight to get your hand in. Would strongly recommend these to any body who wants a cross between leather and ski gloves and understands the limitations and benefits of that combination.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight and warm Hesitated and bought a very similar pair of Outdoor Research gloves instead because I really like their stuff, but I ended up taking them back for these. These are much better. They are quite warm for their weight, seem to be pretty wind-resistant, and the touchscreen compatibility is good. My only critique is that the textured grip on the inside is only on the palm, thumb, and index finger, I would prefer that the textured part covered all 4 fingers. It's silly that the designers did that.
