Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gloves I spilled diesel fuel on my first pair. There is no way that smell comes out. So I ordered another pair immediately. These are very warm, keep the wind and cold out and my fingers are nimble with them on. Great gloves for Alaska...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't seem to find better I like to avoid smartwool when I can due to all of the printing of logos and text (near wrist and on pointer fingers) on their gear, along with other companies that do the same. However, the materials here are the best I can seem to find. The back of hand & inner lining are 70-80% merino wool and 20-30% nylon. I have used socks before with mostly wool and some nylon and it works good, so I expect the same for gloves. Outside is 100% goatskin leather and feels as such. I expect these to hold up for quite a while. They fit nice and tight (size small) and the only downside I can think of is I get the urge to "twist" it near the wrist on the right glove to make it feel a better fit. I definitely prefer the mostly wool lining with 100% outer leather to any polyester or fleece junk any day! I got these for 55.99 on sale, so-so price, I wouldn't pay $80.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good snug fit I have short fingers so finding gloves that fit me well can be a challenge. I like the flexibility in the glove right out of the store. Warmth wise, in sub teens or single digits they may work, but probably not well. I've only had them out in 20+ degree weather and they were fine when being active.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fit means everything My hands are "large medium" sized... large in width, medium in length. Very tough to find good fitting gloves - size 'large' fingers too long, size 'medium' too narrow to fit my hand into. These gloves in size medium fit perfectly. Great casual glove. If they were available in all-black, I'd wear them for business as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect AT Ski Gloves! Bought these for my girlfriend for backcountry skiing. She gave them a good yesterday, and both of us were surprised at how well they performed. Light enough to not over heat while skinning, but windproof and waterproof enough to keep her hands warm and dry on the way down, despite a few tumbles into the snow. Only thing I would recommend is to buy some leather waterproofing to keep them supple for longer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent cold weather gloves These waterproof gloves are warm and comfortable with fleece lining. I also purchased another pair of fleece gloves to wear with these and they fit inside of them with no problem, both gloves were size small. You might be wondering what that black strip is across the backs of the gloves are; so was I; so I asked on of the very helpful store personnel. Believe it or not, when you are partaking in snow sports you may have noticed that your nose runs a lot when you are active and its really cold out. So, instead of stopping and taking off your gloves and pulling out a hankie you use that soft black area to wipe you nose on. Gross? Maybe but its really a time saver when you're out snow shoeing or skiing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hot bad, not great These gloves were nice looking. They were a little tight for my expectations of a large. Unfortunately they weren't very warm. I wore them for a three mile dog walk around a hill-side field; temp at freezing with barely a breath of wind. By the end of the walk my fingers were very very cold. They gloves will be returned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm but not too warm I bought these gloves thinking they would be a good alternative to wearing my Ski gloves in town and they do a pretty good job in that capacity. While they aren't quite as warm as a Ski glove when it gets down in the teens, I'm overall pretty happy with them. I find myself grabbing them often - they are my go- to snow shoveling gloves, they don't mind getting wet and have taken on a nice patina. I'm happy with them and would buy them again,
