The "Large" is big enough to keep all the essentials safe and DRY! Like a passport (really important in border places like Buffalo), billfold, cell phone, bike tools and spare tube. And I guarantee is keeps the stuff dry -- a 2-hour 2 inch deluge one night in Michigan proved that. And best of all it's really easy to install.

Topeak wedge NOT Drybag

I bought it based on its claim to be waterproof. It is not. After two centuries, during both of which substantial rain occurred, I found over a cup of water inside…with my cell phone, etc. still protected by a ziplock bag, NOT by the Drybag.

Not too big, not too small.

Bag fits great under the seat, easy on and off for bike transfer. Holds everything needed for travel, waterproof and looks good. Also very reasonably priced for the size and features. Definitely recommend.

Perfect bag for those who like to be prepared.

My biggest fear is getting stuck on the side of the road somewhere and having to walk my bike all the way back. Because of that I like to carry anything I could need to get out of a jam. This bag is perfect for that. I use it to cary two tubes, two CO2 cartidges and inflator, a small tool set, my phone, my wallet, my keys, and tire levers. I have ridden my bike thorugh very heavy florida storms and while I was soaked everything in my bag stayed dry. The ability to attached a reflector or light to the bag is great as the size of the bag may cover the one you already have on there.

Material and Heat-Welded Seams do not Hold Up

I first purchased the Topeak Wedge Drybag (Large) in 2014. After 4 or 5 years, the seams on the paper-thin vinyl exterior completely delaminated, exposing the plastic shell underneath, and the entire bag fell apart. It had been attached to my bike, which was stored in my garage; I probably rode the bike outside about 5 or 6 times, during that time period. I purchased the same bag again in 2020, and by 2024, the same problem occurred; the seams had completely delaminated, the vinyl was disintegrating, and the entire bag fell apart. Once again, the bag had been attached to my bike, which was stored in my garage; I probably rode the bike outside once or twice during this time period. The thin vinyl material and heat-welded seams just do not hold up.

One big flaw

I bought this in order to move it between different bikes and take it off when I was away from the bike. The release mechanism is simple and secure but you have to wrap the velcro around the seat post and thread it through the small buckle opening when you reattach it to the bike. This totally cancels out the benefit of the quick release mechanism. I might as well continue to use the bag it replaced which wrapped around the saddle rails because this is just as fast if not faster to remove and reattach. It's a shame because it's a beautiful waterproof bag and you can buy the attachments on ebay for about $5 to use on other bikes. If you don't plan on taking it on and off frequently, it's a great bag.

Good so far

I've previously had the Topeak Aero bag in medium and large. The basic expandable design is functional but durability is a problem. I've purchased them for my mountain and road bikes. The Aero seems OK for the road bike but for the mountain bike where more motion and bumps are experienced, the bag is not durable enough. With one bag the zipper broke after a while, just not heavy enough even though I waxed the zipper. With the other bag, the seat mount broke and the bag fell off. The DryBag seems to have solved the problems experienced with the Aero bag. The zipper has been replaced by a folding flap that seals nicely and is secured with two buckles (no zipper at all). The snap-on mount is obviously stronger with well placed rivets so it is unlikely to fail like the Aero bag. The shell is waterproof, which also means it's dustproof, keeping my tools and space blanket clean. The front end of the bag mounts higher on the seatpost so my mountain bike's telescoping seatpost works better. Good product.

Nice bag!

I’m happy with the purchase of the seat pack. Plenty of room for necessities like a spare tube, multi tool, patch kit and what ever else you want to carry. The pack is waterproof and looks well made. There’s a spot on the back for attaching a light. Overall it’s a nice bag and I especially like the fact that you can remove it from the bike with a simple clip.

Questionable Quality

I am pleased with the size and overall design of this under seat bag. The material used for its construction is of questionable durability, however. I am concerned about the rear “bracket” used to hold my blinky light. It appears to be made of plastic that is spot welded to the rear of the bag. I think that after taking the light off periodically for recharging that this bracket will break. The price seems a little high for the quality of materials and construction. After a month of use only time will tell.

Large Capacity, Water Resistant Bag

I was looking for a large bag to hold my tools and spare tube for a fat tire mountain bike. The bag is made very well from a water resistant material and is very rigid, which I liked. It had enough room for my spare tube, tire levers, patch kit, multi-tool and cell phone. Unfortunately, the only way I could have mounted the quick release F25 fixer clip to my saddle rails was to shift my saddle all the way back because of the saddle rail clamp design on my seat post. The F25 quick release fixer supplied with the bag will only fit on the narrower, bottom parallel saddle rails. I did not want to ride with the saddle that far back as it was uncomfortable reaching that extra distance to the handlebars. Topeak no longer makes the F-11 fixer clamp that attaches to the back saddle rails which would likely have worked. Therefore I had to return it because there was no way to secure it when the saddle was in the position where I need it..
