Perfect
I have been using this wallet as my daily wallet for 2 or 3 years now and it still looks great. No holes, nothing has broken yet. I have put everything into my old Eagle Creek bifold a couple times, but within one day I transfer back to this. Driver's license, insurance cards, debit/credit cards, store rewards cards, cash, even my house key is stored in this thing. When the one I currently have finally falls apart, I won't even be looking at other options, I'm just going to get another one of these. Front pocket, rear pocket, jacket pocket, backpack pocket, even stuck it up under my hat once so that there was nothing in my pockets to pick...
Forced me to be more minimal
I love this wallet! It has 3 main pockets. The main zipper pocket has an ID slot and I use it to keep my ID + 3 main credit cards in one side of the divider and 3 secondary cards on the other of the divider. The bottom zipper has no divider and I use it to store my cash. The slot pocket with a key ring is great for carrying a card for quick access but I don't use it often, however, I use the key ring all the time by attaching my house and car keys with it using a small carabiner. This is great to keep them together when not in use or whenever I'm out for a walk, run, hiking, or out on the beach. The material is really lightweight, durable, and I think it's water resistant (except for the zippers).
Nice light small wallet for essentials
I just got this wallet at my local REI. It seems to be constructed very well, the zippers are sturdy. It is light due to the nylon construction but still constructed enough to make me feel like the contents are protected. The pockets are large enough to flip through the contents (cards etc) and grab what you're looking for. There are 2 separate pockets with zippers. One has a clear ID window but there is another "wall" behind it inside the pocket so the other contents stay hidden even if you take your ID out. You can also fit items in the outside pocket where the keyring is attached. It's nice. I have my license, debit card and several business cards, and still have room for some cash, lip balm, whatever.
Poor quality
I bought this September 2015. A hole started forming in November 2016. January 2017 the zipper broke. I do nothing extreme at all. I play no sports. I did not go to a pool let alone a beach. I just did normal average every day things and it broke. Very cheap quality. I paid $5 more for my last wallet and it lasted 10 years before the zipper broke. Would not recommend this model or brand. P.S. The pizza in the pic was delicious.
Best backpacking wallet ever
Looking for something lighter and more minimalist I ordered the Chums last year and this is the best hiking/backpacking wallet ever. It holds all the important items and folding money. The hiding split ring works perfectly for hanging from the key loop on most backpacks and you never notice the weight. My daily carry now.
Small wallet, carries a lot of cards etc
Men's wallets are highly personal things, with myriad choices in leathers, pockets, slots, windows…the choices are endless. My traditional wallet was always expanding and was like carrying a chunk of concrete in my hip. Very uncomfortable. I think I have found my perfect wallet at REI: the Chums Surfshorts Wallet. This flat, minimalist wallet takes virtually no space in my pocket, yet holds 10 cards with a clear window for my ID. This ripstop nylon is under ¾" thick when loaded, and I still have room for cash, receipts, and a few business cards. Two small zippers keep everything in place, and there is even a pocket for keys. This is such a well designed little wallet that I bought one for my brother and my nephew. I hope they like it as much as I like mine.
Simple Wallet
I am a minimalist. I only carry my license, school ID, credit card, debit card, and some cash. This wallet is perfect for everyday use for me. It is labeled as a surf shorts wallet, which i have used once in my surf shorts and found it to be great for that use as well. I also like how this wallet comes with a key ring. I have attached my car key to the key ring when i used the wallet in my surf shorts. This is an affordable wallet that should last a long time.
Small, but with enough room
I have the smaller version and thought this one wd let me keep cards and money separately. It has worked just as I hoped. Still small enough to fit into a back pocket or cycle jersey but with a touch more room and organization than the smaller version.
Go-To Wallet
This is the second Chums wallet I've owned. With much use, the zipper will get a little hard to open/close, edges will get little holes, but overall the wallet is sturdy. I have taken it outdoors countless times and I attach either a small blade and/or carabineer to the keyring to attach to my belt loop. It's saved my wallet from slipping out countless times. I also very much like the ID window in this wallet.
Minimalsitic with charm
We shouldn't be sitting on large wallets, so i decided to slim down (again). I found this wallet at REI, gave it a try and am totally impressed so far. I keep this wallet in my front pocket and barely even know it's there! It's a great price to help change your posture. I keep my wallet ninja along with hunting licenses, ID's various cards and cash. give it a whirl it's pretty unreal!
