I do one century ride a year and train for roughly 3-4 months, and during the warm months ride 7-8 miles to work 3-5 days a week. In previous years I'd done a century ride in some relatively inexpensive off-brand bike shorts and I would have terrible, excruciating rear-end pain. Even worse than the years I rode in gym shorts. These shorts made a world of difference. The chamois is of good quality and is much more anatomically correct, while not sliding around or getting out of position. My level of butt-pain this year during 137 miles in a day on these shorts was nil compared to previous years. Fantastic product. Invest in good shorts, it's worth it.
I had another pair of Pearl Izumi shorts for about 4 years, and decided to replace them with a similar pair. These fit well and were very comfortable, but after only 4 rides / 100 miles they showed far more wear than my old pair. Returned for another model.
I was previously using Canari shorts and the gel started to bunch up after 6 months of use. These shorts are far superior chambios and materials were better. Granted the Pearl's were $35 more expensive than the Canari it was well worth the price difference. I have had these for 2 months, but I can already tell these are going to wear much better. I will be purchasing a second pair! The large fit perfectly for me. 5'10" 225 lbs
I ride any where from 10 miles to 100 miles at a time and these bike shorts are amazing. I am 6'2" and over 200lbs and my back side does not hurt when I wear-em. My waist size is 36 and the X-large seems to fit pretty good.
As with every pair of Pearl Izumi bike shorts I've every purchased, the Attack shorts are very comfortable and well constructed. The padding is not too heavy but it well suited for long rides ... even up to Century length. I'm very pleased with the way they fit and if history is a guide, the durability as well.
I had been wearing 6 panel shorts and decided to step up and invest in a quality 8 panel short...what a difference. Better fit, better support and better padding. A really good investment for comfort and quality.
I bought these shorts after seeing so many rave reviews. I'd been looking for a pair of bike shorts that would make my 2+ hour rides more comfortable. After using them several times now, I can't tell any difference between these and my Canari's that were half the price. These shorts are fine, just not worth the 80 dollars.
The shorts fit well and are comfortable where it counts. There are no pressure or chafing points. I haven't worn them on any long rides yet as winter is now here, but previous and less costly shorts from this manufacturer have done the job and have held up well. I expect the same, and better, from these.
These are the first shorts I've had that let me stay in the saddle for a couple hours without having my sit bones hurt for the rest of the day. High quality stuff. They are a little expensive though.
The shorts are comfy and stay in place
