Decent Lube
Tried this product beacause I'm going through the gamet of lubes to see which is best. So far I've tried ProLink Gold and this stuff. Decent lube. Haven't riden it in wet weather yet. It keeps things quiet for a while and really resists dust and dirt. On the flip side it wears off very quickly, which is probably why it doesn't collect dirt! After only two really good all day mtn. bike rides I had to reapply to all moving parts. It had completely disapeared and jockey wheels and chain were squeeking. If you love your bike like I do and you do REGULAR maintenence on it then this lube is good. Check ProLink review for my comments on it. Ride On!!
Best Lube for my bikes.
Been using this for over 8 years. For me it is excellent. Don't use too much and wipe the chain after applying. The mechanic who serviced my bike was using it so I bought it and have been using it along with the winter, Blue Lube for 8 years. I saw that the company just came out with a Coffee flavored lube-I don't drink it but it did smell like coffee! You do not need to use a lot when lubing the chain. Lasts a long time. The Blue winter lub works very good and I live in the wet and muddy Pacific NW. Excellent
Best chain lube I've ever used
I've tried a lot of chain lubes, wet, dry, ceramic. From all sorts of brands. Either they leave an awful mess (wet lubes) or they are dry but barely work (ceramic). This lube is simply the best out there. Simple to apply, clean, smells nice and the drive train is quiet like I've never had my bike before. BEST. CHAIN LUBE. EER
Good stuff!!
I'm a road biker only and was a devout Pro Link user until I thought I'd try this stuff. My chain stays quieter longer and I think shifting is slightly improved. I can't speak to wet weather performance, but I'll stick with this product.
Dumonde excellent
For road bikes, not dirt. I am a very serious rider. This is to put it simply, one of the best chain lubes out there. I prefer to lite formula. Keeps chain well lubricated, and quiet. Be sure after application, that you thoroughly wipe the chain down. Keep your chain clean and quiet, will last a long time.
Best chain lube I’ve used in the last 55 years
Old guy retrogrouch says try this lube. Not cheap but works great. I live in a rural area with lots of dirt roads. Good for these conditions and even better on pavement.
Dry through the wet
This is sweet goodness for the chain. During this winter season of Mt. Biking, the mud has been epic. Prior to having this lube on my chain, it was a constant struggle to keep the pulleys from binding and the chain from getting destroyed. Since the application of this lube, it's been a dry rub of tasty goodness through the wet slop of good fun.
Effective lube
Pretty effective lubricant. As the label says, go with what you hear, not what you see. When it wears out, or it is cleaned off, you will hear the chain "complaining". Otherwise, no need to add more.
If your chains wear out quickly...
I really like this stuff. I tried a sample bottle that I got from a vendor on a gran fondo, and I am getting about 35% more miles out my chain before it has to be swapped out.
Nice Lube
For the distance and conditions I ride in, this oil lasts me 100 miles. It could probably last longer if I didn't reapply it every 100. I am going to try to let the chain "tell me" it needs to be oiled this summer. I'll update this when I find out more information.
