Pretty good
I used this to lock a cheap bike to a car top rack. One night someone was able to cut about 2/3 of the way through the cable, but for some reason gave up. I wouldn't trust this as a main lock, but combined with a u-lock it'll probably deter most thieves if you don't have an expensive bike.

Thief Cut right through it...
I used this cable plus u lock to secure my $1500 electric bike while grabbing a bite to eat this evening. When I came out, my bike was gone and the lock was cleanly cut through. I would not recommend this as a strong means of protection and will have to find another lock ...for my next ebike

Absolutely Useless

This cable is absolutely useless as a way to secure literally anything. I had my bike locked with it and someone cut straight through it like butter and stole my bike which I had just put two new tires on. Also happened right before Thanksgiving so you can imagine how happy I was about that. DO NOT BUY if you even remotely care about what you're trying to lock up. Piece of complete trash.

Kryptonite cable

Great cable for the price. Would buy again. For what it is worth I dont think it is really made with Kryptonite.

Trusted security accessories for bikes and beyond

I've relied on Kryptonite for decades and will continue to by only their products. I've passed on locks and cables to my children and they've continued to function and perform due to the robust design and unfailing components. Will they stop a determined and well equipped thief? Yes, likely, but locks and cables are half the measure and good sense with preparation is the other. Oh, and I do like the velcro strap for helping to keep the coiled cable in check while storing it in transit. I wish only that REI had more variety of their products and in particular this kind of cable with various lengths and diameters. I also wished that REI had more of the many different u-type locks of theirs. I prefer to by from them but if I must, then I can find what I'm looking for elsewhere.

Great for Securing Kayaks to roof rack

I use these cables to secure my kayak to the top of my roof racks when I am off the river. I always feel better knowing that my property is secure. I've had no trouble with them at all, and I can even link two together to get a longer cable.

A Great NYC Bike Cable

In NYC, you often have to lock your bike next to other bikes or sometimes maneuver around lengths to get a good secure fit for a bike otherwise, you risk it getting stolen. This does the trick! It's long enough to do some strategic placements of bikes but not so long that there's tons of slack or that it weighs you down a ton.

Good deterrent from casual theft

Do not use this to secure a bike in the city! It might look formidable, but I'm pretty sure a bike thief could quickly overcome it. But, if you're taking a bike down a long multi purpose tail in the backcountry and then heading up another trail, it's a nice solution to keep someone from casually taking your bike. For the length, it is weight efficient. Coils up nicely.

SUV Trunk Security

(Recent drive up to SF Bay Area): Linked 2 together for the sole purpose of securing down luggage in trunk. Gave me peace of mind. Nice, also, to have cables to more easily lock up bikes w/ the many U-locks already owned.

Good quality cable for locking anything.

Very happy with this cable for locking bicycles in the back of my truck. Seems to be very good quality and thick enough to avoid general cutting attempts. Perfect for what I was looking for.
