Warm, plain mittens
Love these warm mittens, but good luck with the sizing. I ordered Small, but had to exchange for Medium. Other than sizing, everything else is fine. The price is good--less than $30, and they are wool -- rather than a petroleum-based fabric. There are many extra features that could be included, but I wanted a plain, WARM mitten, which these are. If you want a glove with touch-screen capability or fingers with mitten cover, then these are not for you. Years ago when I lived in a very cold area, I wore Ragg mittens with a leather over-mitten, but I am not standing outside in -10F weather for hours anymore and, thus, these Ragg mittens by themselves are perfect for sub freezing temps. And they fend off cold breezes.
Great mittens - quite warm!
I love these mittens. They are wool but the inside is lined with a soft, thick and warm terry cloth type material that is not itchy at all. I tried the size medium in the store, but decided to go with a size small. (I'm 5'10" woman who isn't petite but my hands were swimming in the M.) The mittens are snug but very comfy. I love them!
Very comfortable, but not warm enough
I knew I wanted wool mittens because I've had another pair for years and loved them. These mittens are very comfortable and soft on the inside. What has disappointed me is that they are not as warm as I expected. The weave is not as dense as my previous mittens, and it feels like the wind is blowing through them. A more minor issue is that I needed a size larger than the size chart indicated.
BEST MITTENS EVER
I live in the coldest part of my state and these gloves never fail to amaze me. I ski in them 80% of the season. It’s crazy that my hands stay more warm in these than an insulated glove/mitten. My hands will only get wet if Im in a big snow storm and or eat shii on the mountain. These are my favorite mittens of all times. Definitely worth $28!
Warm, waterproof, and cute – would recommend!
These mittens are amazing. My hands are perpetually cold thanks to Raynauds syndrome and these kept my fingers warm on long walks, hikes and recent snow days. They are super water proof — like didn’t soak through after a two hour snowball fight in the snow waterproof. Plus, they are cute, which I found to be a nice bonus :)
worth it
Average female hands, short nails. Fit guideline accurate (7.5 inches measurement). Close fit; would not accommodate long nails well. Product is warm (worn in 20 degree Fahrenheit) and comfortable.
great over smartwool liner tech gloves
Wanted something easy to put on over light smartwool gloves so I could have good performance in the cold and still use my phone. Fit the bill, works great, haven't had cold fingers yet, even wet.
Toasty
I have an issue with poor circulation. These keep my hands pretty warm and the price is reasonable. They are a bit too slick for gripping the steering wheel so I wouldn't use them while driving.
Warmest mittens I've had
Incredibly warm, down into the teens. Wish they had a shell to them, but seem to hold up well. Also note that you may have to get a few pairs to find the ones that fit you - the sizes fluctuate within each category. So a bit of a hassle (returning the non-fitting ones) if you order online, but worth it.
Great Mittens
Love these! Kept my hands warm during a winter trip in Baxter State Park without needing a shell mitten most of the time. Bought a 2nd pair for a spare.
