Park Tool BBT-9 Bottom Bracket Tool
The BBT-9 Bottom Bracket tool from Park is used to remove and install Shimano Hollowtech II, Campagnolo Ulta-Torque and many other external bearing crankset bottom brackets.
- One end of the tool securely engages the 16 notches of the bottom bracket cups
- The other end of the tool engages the 8 internal splines of the crankarm adjustment cap
- Also fits rotor disc lock rings with 16 external notches

Times have changed
The description needs to be updated! This tool will only work with 44mm outside diameter 16 notch bottom brackets. Newer road bottom brackets such as Dura Ace or Ultegra are 41mm OD. I last used my BBT-9 to install an older XT bottom bracket. Worked fine for that. But newer XT BB-MT800 are also 41mm, so this tool will not work without the plastic adapter TL-FC24. Also, you can not use a torque wrench with this tool.
