Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Everyday/Work Sandals :) I finally decided to invest in a comfortable pair of sandals for work and have never made a better investment! I work outdoors, taking children on tours. I have to walk backwards while I lead the tours and these shoes keep my feet securely in place while allowing the comfort I need in order for me to walk around for 5-6 hours a day. The only negative thing that I have to say about these sandals is that for the first week that I wore them, I got blisters on the sides of my ankles where the straps rubbed and one on my pinky toe. All and all though, the week that I had blisters was worth the months of comfortable wear I have had so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very comfortable but large The sole of the shoe is very comfortable for walking, but the velcro fastenings chafe a bit because I think I bought a size that was too large. I asked to have my foot measured at the store, and a friendly representative found that my foot is a full size larger than I had thought. I was surprised and asked her to remeasure (and she did measure both feet). Since I'm getting a bit older, I thought that maybe my foot has changed in size, so I bought the size she measured. That may have been right for another shoe, but I should have bought a smaller size for this one because the fastenings are too long and either dangle or chafe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very comfortable, but... I bought these sandals from a store, after having looked for such sporty sandals for about 2 years. I was so happy about the great comfort the sole provides, plus the shock absorber at the heel which makes them even more comfortable comparing to previous Teva models. But I sadly discovered, after buying them, that the ankle strap is way-way too short and they cut in my foot. I've only worn them at home so far, because I'm planning to take them back to the store. If possible to get adjusted (i.e. be taken back to the factory and sewn again), it would be really great, I'd really like to keep them, they're the most comfortable sandals I've had so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fabulous These are not cute sandals. They are not stylish. They are mom sandals. And they are so outrageously comfortable that I don't care. They're my first pair of action sandals and I'm hooked. Now I get why everyone in Seattle wears ugly sandals all the time. My feet are so happy. I'm going to try some of Teva's other, slightly cuter styles now, too, in hopes of finding something I'm willing to wear in real life and not just traveling or hiking. Oh- and I wear a 9 and am a little wide and these fit well; just barely wide enough for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Sandals on Earth I bought these about 4 years ago while on vacation in Florida...kind of an impulse buy but they looked like they would be comfortable...I could not believe how much I ended up liking them!!I take them on all of my tropical trips and when Chicago weather allows, they are my first choice-can wear them all day at the zoo, etc. I've noticed some of the other sandals in the Tirra line do not have as much support as these-I really prefer these over the flatter, flimsier Tirra styles. I don't have a high arch but I still prefer my sandal to have more of a molded sole like these do. Hey-can you make them in Orange please? Would love orange!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable enough to hike in! Got two pairs, one for daily use and hiking, the other for an upcoming trip to Italy. Wanted to try them on the trail to see how they protected against uneven surfaces, as the cobblestones in Italy can really make your feet ache. These sandals were GREAT on the rocky trail! I've never hiked in sandals and was a little dubious about how they would fare, but they were awesome! I will hike in these again and again and am so relieved to have found a great pair of shoes for Italy. The best feature is the cushion under the heel - supportive but soft and really comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfortable and durable I bought this shoe for my two week trip to Tokyo, in the middle of August. It was hot, humid, and we did a ton of walking. I could not have purchased a better shoe for this trip. They did not clash with my attire (dresses and skirts to shorts and pants). They supported my high arches comfortably, the straps adjusted to my feet well, and they kept my feet cool and dry in the humid heat of Tokyo. My only complaint is the strap rubbed my foot and left a small welt on one side, this was easily fixed with a band-aid and I didn't notice the problem anymore. Considering how much walking we did, I'm impressed that the shoe didn't give me a blister (or multiple).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best all around sandals I wore these sandals everyday for over 60 days in India - through the heat and monsoons, in the farms and in the cities. I wanted a sandal that would be comfortable on my feet for at least 10+hours a day and suitable in rain and extreme heat. They held up prefect in all the elements. I have wide/large feet, I didn't have to spend time adjusting the straps, nothing chaffed or caused blisters. My heels did not hurt after walking miles in them. Also wore them in Europe on cobblestone streets and trekking through various US National Parks. They are truly suited for all weather types and outdoor activities.

I have these sandals for a few years and love them. However they hold an odor that I can not get rid of and tried everything. Any suggestions , besides bleach, vinegar, peroxide and plenty of sun..

How is the width of these? I usually wear a women's 9. I have high arches but also wide feet. So I'm looking for arch support plus a little bit more width than the typical B width in women's shoes.

The straps make these sandals very adjustable. I have medium to wide feet and they feel great. I have even worn them with socks for walks on days when the weather is too cold for bare feet (Dorky doesn't scare me!). The Velcro makes it very easy to adjust the fit on the fly. I have two pairs of these and wear them almost every day.

Does the Teva Tirra have built-in arch support? I wear orthotics and can't wear sandals that are "flat" Thank you

Asked by: Stacey W
These sandals have a built-in nylon shank that will provide moderate arch support.
