REI Co-op  Stuff Sack

I bought one of these stuff sacks a couple of years ago for a sleeping bag I had just purchased. Whether I'm backpacking, car camping or just road trip traveling, I like to pack and travel efficiently. This sack is just what I needed for a sleeping bag. Although the guide that comes with these sacks suggests the largest, size 30 for sleeping bag storage, I bought the 20 and it packs my bag down nice and tight and firm. I don't think you need anything bigger for a sleeping bag. This sack is small, but don't let it fool you, it WILL pack your bag. So far it seems very durable, with very strong seams and closure cord. I just bought a second. I'm very satisfied.

I bought 6 of the 60L today at the local REI to put sleeping bags in since I don't backpack any more and I only had very small, tight fitting stuff sacks. The sacks are just what I wanted but not one of the 6 had cord cinch locks that worked. Making it worse, the person who installed them when they were made had to know that. Several people said the same in their review. Not acceptable for the REI that I've looked to and trusted for many years for good products. I'll see if they'll just give me 6 mini cord locks at the store, if not I'll buy them.

I ordered this to store and transport all the parts of a 60-foot slack line (mainline webbing, slings, carabiners, and rappel rings). It fits all the gear with room to spare (I got the 10 liter bag) and I am very happy with the quality of the material. I like to keep my gear organized and with all the parts of the slack line in this one compact bag, I can easily just throw it in the bottom of a backpack when I go hiking or camping just in case the urge to slack hits. I plan on putting together a couple of slack line kits for people for Christmas and will definitely be ordering more of these bags.

Reviews about bad cord locks concerned me so I checked carefully...lock on the 15 L sack receives today is great: works easily, holds tight, and appears sturdy. Stitching looks very good too. I usually get the silnylon sacks and ordered this one by mistake, but for a 1 oz premium this sack is sturdier and more versatile so I'm going to keep it.

I use these sacks to hold gear in my pack. Just bought several of these, and the cinch locks on every one fail to stay closed. The cinch lock just slides right up the drawstring as though there were no lock whatsoever. A two cent cinch lock renders an 11 dollar sack of questionable use. I'm planning on returning, and trying a different brand.

Just got a few more 10L and 15L REI stuff sacks. They have been proven in the backwoods for many years. These things are great for backpacking. I use them to organize the inside of my pack for perfect weight distribution and quick access. They also make great laundry bags as they don't leak or retain scents easily.

I purchased two of the 10 liter Stuff Sacks for an upcoming backpacking trip. Checked out the sacks when I got home and found that the cinch lock on both sacks slides freely on the drawcord. Will have to run by the Fabric/Craft store to buy some new cinch locks - don't want to be without the sacks on the trip.

My boyfriend's sleeping pad sack is very narrow as the sleeping pad is meant to be rolled at the full width. Unfortunately, that way is just too bulky for multi-day backpacking trips so I ran to my local REI and picked up this stuff sack hoping to decrease the size the sleeping pad takes up in the pack. We folded the sleeping pad in half and then rolled it. It fits perfectly into this stuff sack and allowed for so much more room in his pack! I definitely recommend this for sleeping pads, food, clothes, etc!

This is perfect for storing mid-weight cool weather sleeping bags. I opted for the larger size as I need them for storage, not backpacking so I don't want compression. They are a heavier-weight fabric than I expected (a good thing) and look like they will hold up over time.

I have two of the large, that I purchased for a couple of old sleeping bags that we own. They are great. If you have kids that are going to spend one night it would fit the sleeping bag and a change of cloths
