Good value at an affordable price

[...]. I bought two. Originally I didn't like it, but now I'm quite happy with it and my usual riding gear is right in the dead center of the cassette range. I tend to ride in one gear most of the time, so having a cassette that doesn't cost me a fortune to replace is important for my wallet. This cassette is a nice compromise between quality and price. It does seem a little bit "weak" as the teeth have bent on the cogs. I don't shift under load, thus the cogs seem to have bent under normal riding conditions. However, the degree of bend has not been enough to be a problem, and even if it was it's made of steel so the temporary fix of bending the teeth back is a plausible solution.

all hail the cheapest option

Paired this with the shimano WH-RS100 wheelset for my 80s Trek resto project and the result is perfect. The wheelset says it’s compatible with 10 and 11 speed HG cassettes but this works perfectly fine as well. You do need to use the spacer included with the wheelset. Cheapest wheelset, cheapest 8 speed cassette, and cheapest 8spd chain from REI are all treating me well so far.

Some old cassettes still spin.

Standard older cassette readily available and reliable functioning.
