Really good, but not perfect

Let's start off with the good. The hat fits me really good, it looks good, and it's really warm. The areas where it needs improvement are they should wrap the micro fleece around the bottom lip of the hat. The wool is is itchy where it touches the back of your neck. I would also extend the micro fleece through the entire interior for more wind protection or perhaps just leave the very top free of micro fleece for moisture evacuation. I would still recommend this hat even without these minor tweaks.

Great Hat

This is a great hat, and it keeps me very warm. The fleece liner is nice and helps stop the hat from itching my ears. I bring this hat on backpacking trips for cold mornings, and I also sleep in it on cold nights. My only complaint is that the hat is built too tall for my head, and it droops down into my eyes after a while.

Warm and comfortable

I wore this on a 4.5 mils hike in the rockies. It was about 11 degrees Fahrenheit. Snowy. Sunny. "The usual." The hat was very comfortable to wear. I did not sweat and it kept my head and (most importantly) ears warm. My head always seems larger-than-average and it was a perfect fit. Nice materials, well-made, and I think the price (30% off in-store) was appropriate.

Great wool hat

I recently bought this hat and decided to wear it on one of our hikes up mount rainier with some friends. This hat was really comfortable, looks good, and performed well. Being real lambswool and at such a great price, it really was a no brainer. I am really glad I found this hat and this company. I like their story, and knowing that proceeds from what I buy go to charity is an added bonus. I look forward to trying out some of their other products.

Very warm and snug

This hat is warm and the inner lining keeps the wind out as well. I was in 15F temperature with 50mph winds and I was very comfortable. They also wick moisture away so you don't feel clammy even when you are on the trail. It also dries pretty quick, I was in a blizzard and despite all the snow that was wedged in it, the hat dried pretty quickly after it stopped snowing.

Great for men with big noggins

Love this product. I asked for this as a Christmas present to replace the one I bought 6 year's ago (the liner is a bit frayed at this point). I like the rustic texture, all wool outside, soft, not scratchy lining, and that it fits like a beanie on my very large head.

My go-to hat for anything

I've owned this hat for a solid 5 years and it has been my top choice for everything from back country skiing to mountaineering to hunting, general camping, days that are cold, cool mornings, nights in a computer lab, sleeping in a car, etc. This hat has served me so well that I had to leave a review. Despite having an abundance of other beanies and hats, I choose this one 9+ times out of 10 for any occasion. I've truly never had a piece of gear that I've liked or used as much as this one.

Great price for a great hat

I just bought my first Sherpa Adventure Gear hat and it's just right: right amount of warmth, super-comfortable, no itching (thanks to the lining), a nice understated styling, and it makes me feel great that I'm doing something helpful for Nepalese workers. I like the way the hat flops down on top and gives a casual look. I'll be buying more of this company's products, for sure!
