Buying more -do the job well

I have loved these socks. They are completely sealed so they can only get gravel in them if they don't have a hole in one of the layers. But this only happened to me once in the 4 years I've had the 2 pair I purchased due to holes I wore in the socks. I just threw away the last pair as they have holes in both layers. They regulate temp well in summer or winter and have worked as an under layer sock on cold days in the winter. They dry out quickly and I never had a problem with them smelling. I wore them the 1st time forging glacial run off and they dried quickly after I laid them out. :) But if your not wading through water they keep your feet dry, my feet don't sweat much. I had no problems with smelly socks.

boo coolmesh

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Wrightsocks!!!! But...I hate all the 'cool mesh' ones. I swear the 'running' or regular wrightsocks last a lot longer and I'm not so thrilled that REI no longer stocks them. The coolmesh socks hold up fair enough and do prevent my horribly blister prone feet from destruction. The annoying part is that the sock below your heel (or where it rubs on you) breaks down- the 'seam' of the fabric makes big grooves in your foot....and if you try to fix your sock and it comes out of the indentations...yeowch! so much for no blisters.

they work ok

I've used these socks for hiking and they work to wick moisture away but the double-layer construction actually causes small pebbles to get trapped between the two layers. This is really annoying because you can't easily clean out your socks. They do prevent blisters because the two layers rub between each other rather then your foot rubbing against your sock. This rubbing between the two layers also cause the sock to wear much faster than a good pair of single layer socks. Personally, I use single layer biking socks for running and hiking. I tried these double layer socks out because they were cheap. I would only recommend these socks if you intend to use them in activities where you aren't likely to get lots of pebbles in your shoes, i.e. running on improved outdoor surfaces or indoors.

Good Socks, use primarily for running

I use these socks primarily for running. They work well, however they do have a tendency to bunch up and slide under my shoes. Enjoy the different color on socks, easy to pair up! I would buy another pair, if they are on sale or clearence, but not for regular price.

Thick padding

The socks does wick moisture away from the foot but also retains that moisture so the sock really smells by the end of the day. Also the sock is very thick so you will need a whole size up on your shoe size otherwise your foot will be tight inside the shoe.
