After being stranded with a broken chain and a broken chain link tool, Crank Brothers 19 saves the day. With a little finesse and needle nose pliers (to hold the pin in place), one person can repair a chain. Good tool.

Fell apart

Fell apart within a year of use. Worked fine until then, appreciated the expansive set of tools. Same thing happened with my boyfriend’s. A bit heavy for the size.

I TRIED THE REST, THIS IS THE BEST

This tool includes a chain tool which has brought me back from a 30 mile out from civilization chain break. I once had a wheel so bent from a crash that I couldn't roll it through the frame and this tool enabled me to do a hasty fix to keep riding (TEOCALLI RIDGE - Crested Butte, CO) I have done a complete assemble and disassemble with this tool and the only additional purchases were a headset cup remover,HS press, BB Press, and Crank tool, all items that cant be made portable. This tool is cheap insurance.

An Excellent Multi-Tool

This is my main multi-tool. I have used this to tighten or adjust various Allen head bolts as necessary on rides (bottle cage, stem, handle bar grips (Ergon GP1 - also excellent for my flat bar!). It does come with a pretty cool looking plastic case but I saved the room by not using that. I have found the chain tool to be useful, but it does require some significant leverage to overcome the tightness of the chain pin. (I have since added a SRAM powerlink to my chain.) Probably more than you need on a ride, but it covered everything that I have asked it to do for me.

Seems Well Made

Hopefully I never have to use this but I bring it on rides just in case. I noticed a few reviews mention the case is hard to open. The top is a hard plastic and can be filed. File the two raised dots to make each angled on the top, and the case is easier to open.

Liked 10x better than the similar Lezyne

After my v20 Lezyne multi-tool broke I was hesitant to get another multi to carry with me. It was very awkward in my hand and I had a really hard time getting any leverage. This Crank brothers model though is 10x better. It's not as wide, so it fits in the hand better and allows for better leverage. It's tools also don't flop around as easily making it easier to do what your attempting to do. Very happy with my purchase and very happy I bought the Lezyne tool through REI, hassle free return and exchange.

The right tools for roadside woes.

I exchanged a different unit for this tool and I am glad I did. The other one was too large. This is just large enough and includes the 2-3 sizes of allen keys you need plus a few screwdrivers and a chaintool for good measure. I actually had to use this on the side of the road last week to fix my front brake and it performed flawlessles. Due to the compact size, getting leverage on this tool is difficult but that can be said about any mini-tool.

This is the multi-tool all bicyclists need!

I had to buy an additional multi-tool while on a coast-to-coast ride. I had to replace my rear deraillieur on the trip. The new deraillieur had different limit screw heads not on my exisiting multi-tool. Bought the M19 and love it! . I mailed home my other tool and have put it away as I only use this multi-tool now!

Legit, must-have tool for bike repairs

I've already had to use this tool on several occasions. From minor adjustments to my derailleur all the way to resetting the rake on my mountain bike, this thing has been a blessing. Simple, versatile, and tough as nails. I was told to buy a multi-tool with a chain breaker on it, and I chose this one because of the bevy of other tools on it. You never know when you'll need them, and so far, they've all played a part.

Good Tool Bad Case

This tool will last you a lifetime, solid (a bit heavy but that comes with good quality) and the components are the basic tips to make any adjustment while you ride. The case that comes with it is NOT user friendly, it's better to get your own soft/zipper case and use that instead.

seems ok

I am just getting into biking, and wanted a multi tool to throw in my bag for emergencies. This will get the job done I think, and has most everything I would need. When I first got it I had to use a separate allen wrench to loosen the screws on the tool...it was so tight I couldn't get any of the bits to swing open. And what is up with the gift box thingy? Are you supposed to store the multi-tool in that? The ends snap on so tightly you would have to use another multi-tool to get your multi-tool out. I mean...it is high quality, aluminum or something - looks flashy and nice. I really don't see a use for it though and it'll be going in the junk drawer. They should sell it without that silly box.
