Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Cables But They Are Too Short I installed these on a Yeti 575 and they were pretty short. I knew the housings these ones replaced were too long so I made the first new housing about 2 inches shorter than before. Although I used all the remaining housing the second one I installed was too short! Had I known how short these were I would have shortened the first one even more. I may take these back due to the rear derailleur skipping. What a waste of time. If you do buy these, don't just cut them to the same length as the old ones. Cut the old housings as short as practical first as a test, and then cut the new ones to match. Or just buy a brand that isn't so stingy with their materials.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Instructions First off, you describe the Campy cable end as bigger but the drawings show it as the smaller one. Confusing. There is only enough housing for one cable if your housing(s) runs full length. And please give us more explicit instructions on the DrySuit system. It sounds like a great idea but your instructions are confusing. I have written product instructions and I realize it's more difficult than one would think and you need to do better. More drawings (or pictures) and more careful wording. Each component should have a single, unique name. Don't call it one thing on the drawing and use another name in the written instructions. Assume your customers are idiots. And remember a picture is worth 1000 words. And please throw in at least one more cable end crimp. The are cheap and small and easy to loose.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for running full length housing The packaging reports "Everything you need to update the shift cables on your road or mountain bike" But, the housing won't be long enough for front and back if you run full length housing like every mountain bike that gets routinely used off road normally does.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 2000 mm is 100 to 125 mm short for bar end shifter For my Randonee, the 2000 mm cable is too short. I have bar end shifts so the cable as to wind from the bar ends and up and around the drop bars.

Are these cable lengths correct? I measured my front shifter cable at ~135-140 cm and the length listed for the shorter cable is 120cm. My bicycle is a 55cm roadbike, so not an abnormally large frame size.

Asked by: der Umsteiger
The cable lenghts listsed in mm are correct. The short cable length is 120cm. The long cable length is 200cm.
