Works really well
I live and work less than half a mile from the ocean. I bike to work and have to keep my commuter bike outside at the office. The salt air is brutal on my bike, and I was having a difficult time finding a lube that protects and lubes well in these conditions. I wish I had tried this product first! Applies easily and does an excellent job of keeping my chain lubed, even after riding home in the rain. The application last longer than the other products I have tried, and it's a smooth ride. I haven't tried it on my road bike yet, (my commuter bike tends to get products experimented on it first) but I will definitely use it next time I lube that bike.

It's "OK"...Dry may be better
I've been a White Lightning "Dry" user for a long time, but with some fall/winter weather on the way I picked this up to try. It works for sure, however....it requires a LOT more maintenance, which seems counter intuitive. It seems like after each ride my chain needs a serious wipe down and re-application. It also results in much more build up on the chainring, cassette and pulley wheels. This may be a perfect lube for wetter climates, but for Colorado...I'll go back to the "Dry" once this is used up.

doesn't last long (in the bottle or on the bike!)

I bought a few different synthetic lubes from REI to test out and I will never buy this one again. I don't know if it's the size of the hole in the bottle or what but I've found that, when following the instructions, at least 1/8 of the bottle's contents is emptied with one single chain application. To make things worse, one short ride in somewhat wet weather will strip this stuff right off of the bike chain. My previous and only experience with a synthetic lube was Rock N Roll chain lube and a smaller bottle lasted waaaaaaay longer than the White Lightning. It both dispensed slower and lasted longer on the chain - even in wet conditions. Definitely can not recommend White Lightning.

Works better as a dry lube.

Went out on muddy trails and got caught in a rain storm at the end. Chain suck was terrible after going through puddles. Washed all the lube right off. Talked to the LBS and employee had a similar experience. Now I just use it when I need dry lube. It does get very clumpy and has cause chain drop as well. Just not the best for muddy humid Houston riding.

A good multi-condition bike chain lubricant

A good in-between bike chain lubricant, for either dry or wet conditions. Perfect for preparing your bike for long rides in which the conditions are unpredictable. I find it especially useful for dirt trails in which both the dust of the ride and water and mud from rain are possible concerns.

Spend a little money maintaining your bike.

Spend a little money cleaning your chain and gears. It will make riding easier, you'll notice and damage that is starting, and you'll avoid rust and other issues that usually lead to buying a new bike.

Ride the Lightning!

Took a chain that was drier than the Sahara and made it into a well oiled machine! Before, my rides were arduous. Now, I glide along the path like I’m floating with angel wings! Ride the lightning!

Gravel ride perfection

This stuff is great! Goes on easy- then wipe it and ride. I use it on my gravel bike, and even when the bike is covered with dust, the chain stays smooth. No goopy build up or clumps of grit.

Great lubrication!

Excellent chain lubricant that comes in a convenient, ready to use container.
