Awesome

I happened to see a review concerning an individual headed to Africa whose luggage was lost and he spent several days in this shirt. It sounded to good too be true and I wasn't about to pay the price to find out. Then I found one on sale and bought it as a birthday present. And it is worth every penny at any price. Working from home as a computer tech gives me a casual life style and I would live in this thing if I could afford a few more...LOL... The only down-side is that due to its design and purpose it doesn't work well in a dress-up application which only happens a couple of times a year for me :-)

The perfect travel shirt

I travel full-time for my career. This is, by far, the best travel shirt I've ever owned. I can wear it all day and it stays comfortable and looks sharp. It washes easily in a hotel sink and is dry in after a few hours on a hanger. The pockets are very useful and well placed, and the venting does a very good job of keeping a typically "hot" person cool. It's showing no signs of wear so far. I liked it so much I bought a second one in another color, and would buy a third if it was available in black or a dark gray. This is a favorite piece of gear that I don't leave home without.

"You get what you pay for"

Purchased this shirt last summer for a BWCA/Quetico trip. I needed something long sleeve and breathable to protect me from bugs and sunburn and this shirt fit the bill nicely. Very comfortable to wear in humid conditions even with the sleeves rolled down. The cut of the shirt is loose (but not sloppy) I'm assuming to help w/ breathability. Guys w/ bigger hands will appreciate the larger zip chest pocket. Shirt has lots of nice features w/o looking gaudy. I purchased a cheaper version of this shirt for the same trip and had issues w/ lost buttons and fabric durability, but none so far w/ this one. A little on the pricey side but comfort, style and durability make up for it. Great all around adventure shirt.

Love this Shirt - but some wear

I puchased one of these shirts about 6 months ago. I have taken it hiking three times on 10+ mile hikes each time. I love this thing! The only concern I have is that the fabric is showing wear in the chest area. I believe the backpack's chest strap is riding on the fabric. Seems to me it should hold up better than it does. I think this is a great shirt but I am not so sure it holds up well to extended use in the field. I would recomend it more for casual wear or minimal field use. That said great shirt, stylish, wicking, etc.

Awesome Shirts

These are my everyday shirts. I wear them to work, hiking, movies, pretty much anywhere. Great for sub-tropical enviroments, deserts, even mountains. The only problems I have with these are that in cold weather you may as well not have a shirt on and that the smallest ash will burn holes on contact. Other than those two problems and the colors (MH never heard of Khaki or even some other natural color?) they are the most versatile shirts I own, well worth the money.

Great shirt

I use this shirt in hot desert climates and it works great. I have owned 3 of them for about 4 years and have yet to lose even a button. This shirt wears like iron. I roll the sleeves down in the hot sun to prevent sun burn and it still vents very well when temps ramp to 95-100F. It also works well in colder weather with a long-sleeve poly pro (capiline) shirt under it. Only 1 thing I consider a negative is the steep price [$], but good performance isn't always cheap.

Near perfect hot weather shirt

This is the one to have if you're headed to the oppressive heat of New Delhi or the steamy jungles of Papua New Guinea. Or maybe even Florida! Feather light, airy, and as cool as any shirt can be. The mesh vents on the side are a nice addition, but the two chest pockets are probably bigger than they need to be. I sweat a lot in hot and humid climates, so I'm not likely to carry anything valuable like an airline itinerary or passport in the chest pockets for fear of soaking them. The sleeves are more than long enough, which is always an issue for those of us who wear 37 inch sleeves. The sun protection is important, too, and I'd much rather wear this than a short sleeve shirt at low latitudes or high elevations. Easy to wash in a hotel sink or a streamside bucket and fast drying. Mine is bright green. Is that stylish? Who knows?

buy it

This is the deal! get one and you won't be sorry. Total comfort, in every way, comes out of a washer and it already feels dry. No wrinkles so just through it in a drawer or bag and it is ready to wear. And hey, it looks good. Good bye bugs and sunburn. I couple it with the wicked tee and the pairing is awsome. Seriously, I bought one and I have two more on order right now...

Good For Sunny/Hot Weather

I bought this for use in hot conditions and it hasn't failed me. Very durable and the mesh gussets ventilate well. Not so hot that you have to roll the sleeves up to stay cool so it keeps the sun off. Though it works well for backpacking I would say the best use is camping or adventure travel. I would certainly buy another.

Fantastic product

This shirt is great. I think it beats others of it's kind on looks and the pockets are more conspicuous. I recently took it on two canoing trips in really hot weather. It wasn't too hot and kept the bugs from biting my arms.
