Fits 29er Bikes

I recently bought a 29er mt bike, and the larger diameter wheels/tires made it difficult to secure the bike using my old straps because they were not long enough. These new ones easily fit the larger diameter, and they have a ratcheting action that allows for easier tightening of the straps. For road bikers, there is an adapter piece to compensate for the smaller diameter tires/wheels.

Improved strap design over first gen straps

Replaced older worn out first generation straps. The current design is much better and holds the wheels more securely with less closing effort.

Thule Wheel Strap Review

Thule fully supports their products. The Wheel Strap was easy to purchase on the site. It took me less than 15 minutes to find and buy. It was delivered to my mailbox in less than a week, and it was very easy to replace the broken wheel straps!!! The wheel straps are heavy duty, and I cracked the original due to my own mistake. I purchased the Thule Rack from a car dealership, and they could not replace the part.

Fits great

My roof mount is old and I have no idea what model, but these worked perfectly. Took a little work to get them on, but they are snug and secure so I have no concerns. They are much better and more ergonomic than the old brittle ones I had to replace. Thank you Thule for making this a simple fix and not requiring the purchase of an entire new system!

Wheel strap

I have an older roof rack, and when my wheel strap broke due to dry rot, I thought I was at a loss, plus not knowing the model number of my roof rack. So I took a chance and ordered what I thought was a good fit and Booooom it was! Thanks for keeping me on the road Thule

Not as good as the old ones

They work, that's all there's good to say about them. The straps are pretty short, so you have to position them carefully, and you can't fasten them very tight, or the buckle won't lock. The older version with the all metal buckles are much better.

Would buy from again

Nice to know that products can be replaced with the same type after 10 years. Had to replace the clamp due to sun damage and usage after 10 years of southern Californian sun.

Wheel Strap

Perfect fit. I wasn't exactly sure of the year or model of my roof rack and this strap fit perfectly in the cradle!
