Great way to lengthen your Megawarrior.

I used three of these to extend my Yakima Megawarrior roof basket. It now runs the entire length of my Colorado crew cab truck and I can carry kayaks as well as all sorts of other equipment. I use the Yakima cargo net and it makes securing multiple items much easier although it can be a bear to untangle when you first get it out to use. Installing was very easy just be careful not to strip any of the small fasteners when taking the rack apart to insert the extension. Highly recommend this if you’re looking for additional space with the original basket.

See full review on the main basket

If you read the review I posted on the main basket you will see that the assembly method for the rack and the extension components is cheap and poorly designed. In my case, that resulted in stripped screws and a rack that I cannot disassemble to install the extension piece - after waiting two weeks for REI to get it into the store. This is a bigger headache than one should have at this price point. I thought I would email the manufacture to let them know about the review and ask them to call me to resolve the problem. Surprise - they do not offer an email address or method of email contact (at least not a straightforward method - and no I do not do Facebook). Most firms love email. I find that email can be problematic because many firms do not respond promptly - but come on Yakima, at least give us the email option so we can send a message at 10:00 p.m. on a Friday night and accelerate the resolution process next Monday! Poorly designed product and poor method of staying in touch with customers = unhappy customer.
