Park Tool  Tire and Tube Repair Kit

I see a lot of complaints, but like wise, I've used other tire levers, I've snapped them, other fancier ones didn't work. Granted putting tires on and off isn't always easy. But I've always returned to using Park tools levers after trying other ones. The patch kit is nice, but you're gonna eventually need more, along with other stuff likes pump, and some tools to fix your bicycle while you're out in middle of no where. Tip: for really hard tires, I no both levers and try to pop them in simultaneously, while Saturday the bottom part of the tire with my feet to allow for more of the time to move above the rim, when installing it back on. It definitely takes a little finessing another word for elbow grease... Good luck!

Very compact kit, easy to use. Be careful though, the patches are very sticky and hard to move once in place. There is certainly no need to change the tube after using one. It is pretty much as good as new. They are a little bit small, so fixing pinch flats on wide rims could require two patches. I haven't found a use for all three tire levers, but if your tires are really tight, I can imagine the third lever would be a lifesaver.

I have use 10 different brands of tire levers and these are the worst I have found. For my thin Vittorio tires the levers worked ok, but with my thicker Panaracer tires the levers were completely ineffective. Most levers have a bit of an upward lip at the end, which improves the tool's leverage. These do not and proved to be 100% useless for thicker tight fitting tires.

While I believe park makes great products these levers have far too narrow a surface where you are working on the tire. They constantly are slipping out and making a tire change a challenge. Others abound which have great working surfaces such as; the iconic yellow Pedros or orange Maxis.

This saved my life 20 miles out. Tire levers worked great on my Michelin Pro 3 road tires. The patch was enough to cover both tears from the pinch flat (road tire though). Simple, fast, lightweight, holds at 110 + psi. Nothing more I can ask for.

Before purchasing these I had never changed a bicycle tire. The design makes repairs simple, and the patch kit is handy to have on hand.

The tool is really good but the repair patches (on both occassions) started leaking air. The glue won't hold right on the tube.

First off in reading the reviews on this item pre-order I see people seem to have a variety of results, some good, some not so good. Given my first experience using this patch kit and the patches included I'll start by listing EXACTLY what I was working with: Bone Stock 2022 Scott aspect Mtn Bike, flat front tire. Rim: 29" Alexrims syncros 32 spoke presta valve (width tbd) tube: kenda 29 x 2.30-2.40 tire: kenda 61-622 29 x 2.40 Tire was flat enough that once I got one tire lever under the tire, the second lever just slid all the way round and undid the bead on one side, so I really didn't need 3 in this case, but I can see how 3 could be useful at times. At that point, the valve stem came out of the hole in the rim just fine and it was on to patching the hole...... er finding it first. I'm really glad I was at home doing this as the hole was a rather small pinhole, not obvious by examination of the tube at all. with this patch kit alone, I'm not sure how I would have found that hole out on the trail. I used the laundry sink, plugged up, with a bit of liquid soap and finally got small bubbles, locating the hole. The self stick patches included at first sight did not instill much confidence, and after initial post application they instilled even less. That said I think there are a few tricks to pass on in using these: It's a good idea to roughen the area before applying the patch and follow the directions (which are included in the box of patches) They need to be applied flat with no wrinkles at all whatsoever. Also, once applied, any air in the tube will immediately work to cause a bubble under the patch. One needs to, just like applying a bumper sticker, work the air bubbles out to and past the edge and make certain that ALL of the patch adheres to the tube. All in all, we shall see how this holds up. update, 13 days later...... (it would be useful if rei would allow editing of reviews already submitted from within a registered acct) In writing the above, my outlook was guarded at best. Well, the bike sat in the garage for the last almost 2 weeks with absolutely no chance whatsoever of suffering another puncture. I went to ride it today, and...... yup, front tire was flat! So time to do this all over again! I knew given the above that the patch had failed even prior to removing the tube but upon removal of the tube took the time to verify this. Yup, the patch had failed and was giving bubbles of air right at one edge! with a bit of work, I peeled off that patch and tossed the rest of the self stick patches in the garbage can! The self stick patches are JUNK! That said, The levers are quite good, though I could almost do without them on my particular bike and used a total of one to get the tire to where I could get the tube out, and none were needed to put the tire the rest of the way back onto the rim. I would AVOID buying this kit, as THE PATCHES ARE LIKELY TO LEAVE YOU STUCK SOMEWHERE 10-20 MILES IN, WHERE YOU NOW GET TO CARRY YOUR BIKE OUT WITH YOU AS IT WONT HAVE A FIXED TIRE. I give this kit a COMPLETE VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE! Buy the levers separately along with a good glue based patch kit.

I patch up with Park..I am riding on the same patch for a whole season..Great product.

I've had the levers for 2 years now and have abused them pretty good with no breaks. Have snapped friends' levers, but somehow these keep on trucking. Love having three - on pesky tires I'll set two (held by spokes) while I go to town in-between them with the third. Plus they weigh nothing and are incredibly cheap for how long they've lasted. The tube patches are fine. Some have held for over a year, some leak right away. It's really just how well you clean the area around the hole and whether the patch lays on a seam. But I like them more than dealing with glue in the field, so I just take a bunch of these patches and reapply if necessary. Wish this kit came with tire boots, because in my opinion that's another critical repair item if your tire also gets punctured. Get this kit, some Part Tool boots, and a pump and you're good to go.
