I Love This Bite Valve!
I have a Platypus Big Zip 3.0 liter hydration reservoir that I love. It's lighter in weight than the equivalent Camelbak & it's MUCH easier to fill & clean. However, I HATED the bite valve that comes with the Platypus bladder. One of my friends has the same one & we both experience painfully low flow. It's especially inconvenient if you're trying to clean a piece of fruit, wash your hands, or do dishes at camp. Since my friend has ZERO flow issues, I decided to take a chance (I wasn't sure if these pieces would be compatible) & Frankenstein the pieces together. It worked perfectly! I also have Platypus' bite valve cover & although it's a bit of a tighter fit with the Camelbak bite valve vs. the original Platypus one, it still works!

Works as Expected
Mine fell off somehow, bought this to replace it, it works. This is way too expensive for what it is but you almost have to have it. It smells and tastes awful out of the box. I tried to let it sit in a cup of water and efferdent for a while then in water/vinegar for a while and it only slightly reduced the taste/smell that it gave to the water.

I am grateful to be

I am grateful to be able to get a replacement nozzle, but the amount of packaging for such a small item was ridiculous.

Returned control of my bladder back to me.

I think I'd gone about a month or so trying to deal with my issue, pretending that everything was fine. My car seats were wet, my clothes soaked and there was no hiding it. With one simple tool, my bladder was back to functioning the way I needed. I regained the confidence to hit the trail again.....dry. Thanks, CamelBak.

High quality piece

Bought this as a replacement for a non-CamelBak bladder that had a slightly larger diameter tube than my other CamelBaks. It stretched over the end just fine and performed well on our last trip. These are kind of expensive for what they are, but they work great.

Great for cycling

I bought my current CamelBak hydration pack over 10 years ago and the original bite valve just started leaking. Bought this, fixed the issue, and I'm looking forward to another 10 years.

Same as the valves that come on new CamelBaks

A mouse chewed through my bite valve so I got a new one. It works fine just like the original. I prefer the Osprey style, however.

Great for replacing a broken mouth piece

I bought mine to replace my old mouth piece that had been chewed on by a small animal. This product works very well. However, I find that the rubber material attracts dirt very well, so I also bought the mouth piece cover in order to protect the actual mouth piece.

What is there to say.

Not much to say about this. Bought as a replacement because my old one started to leak after about 5 or 6 years of use.

Works great!

I wish these came with the packs itself! I never knew these existed until after using it for a while.. It’s easy to put on since the mouthpiece wasn’t that hard to get off, though I did struggle for a bit. However, it definitely had me afraid for a bit as it’s sort of hard to put the mouthpiece back on. But this is a NEED everywhere. Helps keep it clean and I appreciate there’s more than one in a pack
