Not just for hauling

I have a fifi on each of my harnesses and I use it to aid as a quick weight bearing point. It works great when roped soloing for quickly hooking a piece, taking weight off your hands so you can fumble with the ropes. Also for drilling on lead you can step higher in the aiders to get the highest bolt possible. Or to sweep out the sand...

Good, but check out speedfi

I grabbed an old school fifi to hang my haul bag from when rope soloing and see how it compares to the adjustable Alfifi and SpeedFi. This Fifi worked well and would be fine if you are only aiding short stretches of a climb, but the adjustable Fifi hooks make a big difference for the long haul. This Fifi should still be handy for rope soloing, so no money wasted! Definitely check out the SpeedFi. I think it’s pretty equivalent to the Alfifi in functionality (they each have different strengths), but 30% less and it will probably last longer since it uses a cord rather than a strap! If you aren’t sure what you want from a Fifi, definitely get the SpeedFi, and grab one of these for your tag bag if you rope soloing multi pitch!

Works fine

The fifi hook isn't supposed to be a replacement for aiders, or jumars, or climbing shoes for that matter. It's *supposed* to release easily, and certainly shouldn't be used by itself unless you're hyper-vigilant. The BD fifi is perfect for what it is.

Fifi for life

I bought this for a climb that has a bolt ladder it was so nice to just be able to stand up and not need to un clip my self from what I was hooked to super good would recommend for any one getting in to any type of aid climbing

So easy to use

I'm learning to aid climb, so I picked up BD Fifi hook and couple other. I find it much easier to use the other brand that I have been working with. It's light with large opening and hooks into gear with ease.

Best hook in the game

Can be used for aid climbing, I personally use it to clean overhanging routes with ease. Minimize the swing while cleaning the route. Fits in the hanger so perfectly, like it was meant to be there.

Great gear great price

I use this a tad unconventionally with a petal connect adjust for cleaning overhanging routes. Works great and for the minimal weight it’s nice and beefy. Very happy.

Traditional Fifi Hook - All around aid climbing

The BD Fifi hook has all the key characteristics to perform in your aid climbing requirements. Shape, sling length, weight, must have in your rack.

Solid Hook!

Fantastic hook, does what it needs to do! I've used it for cleaning routes and for the more conventional uses as well.
